re: Tom & Katie's delivery

Anyone else startled by the fact that a sci-fi writer (L. Ron Hubbard) created this cult?

A sci-fi writer. Come on.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

I really feel sorry for Katie. She did not know what she was getting into. She was just mesmerized by him. He dumped he wife without a word, Nicole, because she was never into Scientology. The poor girl lost all her friends and is surrouned by fellow Scientologist who keep watch on her. He has her traveling very far in her pregnancy, she looks worn out to me. As for not screaming when delivering a child, and not seeing the baby is absurd. If she lasts two months with him after the baby is born, I will be surprised. I think he just wants to show the world he can procreate. It was probably artificial insemination. He hand picked her. I think he should come out of the closet already.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

Would anyone else like to see Brooke Shields and Katie Holmes shove a copy of Dianetics down Tom's throat, or somewhere more painful, and say, "Now, don't you scream, Tom."?

"I recall reading that the reason that Nicole and Tom adopted was because of his problems, not hers."

Yeah, I have that same "problem". It helps if you think about Chris Meloni in Oz.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

First off no painkillers?! Not that I'm a religious person but shouldn't this "religion" say something about them being married first? I once saw A Baby Story on TLC and they parents were Scientologists and didn't believe that their child should recieve blood or something so basically they were letting the baby die. The hospital stepped in and saved the baby. That just is really wierd to me.

Nah, it just take vitamins. Duh.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

The side view picture of her in that article is amazing ... it looks like she's still a size zero and just has a basketball bump in the front. Oh what I wouldn't give to look like that when I get pregnant... Or am I pregnant right now? Doesn't my pillow look pretty? And I just take it out when nobody's around to look ... re: Tom & Katie's delivery

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

I heard a story that Nicole and Tom broke up after she had an affair with her trainer. I guess she wanted what Tom wasn't (couldn't?) give her.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

That bump is definitely in her uterus. What the deuce.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

Katie Holmes used to be my idol, ever since Dawson's Creek started. She has been incredibly weird these past months.
Tom Cruise is insane and I would like to see him go through labor and give birth without pain killers or screaming, yeah good luck.
What's the bet on the marriage? How long are they gonna be married for?

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

I agree with Rose. This whole things screams Rosemary's Baby and it is very freaky. Seriously, all we need now is Mia Farrow to be the midwife. Oh wait, Scientology doesn't believe in that...

"Followers believe it is traumatic for babies to hear their mother scream or groan when giving birth. They think it can cause “psychic” damage, which takes years of therapy to overcome."

This statement is so ridiculous. How many people in the world have been born hearing the mother screaming and are not traumatized by it. Hello, there are lots of well adjusted people around! (of course, none of them are here on BWW though! re: Tom & Katie's delivery).

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

Nicole was pregnant when they split and had a miscarriage shortly after. She said it was Tom's, but c'mon.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

I thought I read Nicole had fertility problems, hence the misscarriage...hmm. Either way, as weird/out there/scary as Tom is, I think it's silly to keep insisting he is gay. He's been a movie star for over a decade! There are plenty of well-liked, high profile gay men in movies out in Hollywood, so if Tom really was gay he would have totally come out by now.

re: Tom & Katie's delivery

The Church of Scientology teaches that such "aberration is contagious,"

That is so not true. There's this boy in my town I've been sneezing and coughing on for the better part of the last ten years, and he's still not gay.
