If you trust the latest rumor mill, Holmes & Cruise were miffed at Hathaway's impression of Katie on SNL. So miffed that they're skipping the Oscars, which Hathaway is co-hosting.

But who will accept their awards for them?
Hollywood has no sense of humor. Besides, the only patron I care about coming to the ceremony is Jack Nicholson.
That's mature of them.
Well, it's not like either of them are getting nominated.
I used to love Tom, but now he creeps me out.
Something about that smile makes me uneasy.
That is, if anything, one heck of a big compliment.
Well, Tom Cruise sued over that South Park episode. Whether this is 100% true or not, he's proven himself to be petty and childish enough for this to be believable.
This is the skit that sent them over the edge I guess.

Must have been a pretty tiny ledge.
On the other hand, that was the funniest thing I've seen all day.
How will people ever enjoy themselves now???
If I recall correctly, didn't Ben Stiller do an impression of Cruise in an SNL Jeopardy skit? Cruise must have gotten over that, since he worked with Stiller in Tropic Thunder.
Cruise is good friends with Stiller. I guess it's one of those things where your friends can make fun of you, but no one else can or you're pissed.
That was very funny, though. Hathaway is so good. So is that impression of Miley. I think she's being too nice, though. lol
Did people think the Miley character was funny or good? lol
Anne was hysterical, though.
Besides, the only patron I care about coming to the ceremony is Jack Nicholson.
I have NEVER understood the annual tradition of the Oscar Brown-Nose Shout-Out to Nicholson sitting in the audience. What is that all about? Do they fear for their lives if they don't do it? Same hair. Same tinted glasses. Only two decent films in twenty years. What does it mean? Yes, the man had an amazing career in the 70s and 80s, but so did many others. It just seems so creepy to me.
I didn't get it either until Jack was absent last year and they decided George Clooney would be the focus and it was just... odd. At times it appeared he was playing along and other times he just looked outright depressed knowing his movie would be shut out of awards that night. Jack Nicholson, whether his movies are in contention or not, will give you the same impression every time (thanks to those shades).

Whatever happened to the Cruise/Stiller movie where they would play the grown up Hardy Boys? It was announced right after Tropical Thunder came out.
