Jose', where was it acknowledged that Zellwegger and Gere didn't do their own dancing? In the director's commentary, Marshall insisted that Gere did his own tap dancing, and that he just chose the shots from behind because he liked them, without realizing it would raise suspicions about Gere's dancing. Marshall also repeatedly said that all the leads could have performed the musical live. (I have my doubts about Zellwegger's singing voice, but I guess miking could fix some of that.)
Anyway, I loved Chicago. But it was different from the stage version- I guess some people found the differences hard to swallow.

Joe vs. the volcano ahhh. Starring yes Tom Hanks. Oh and Death becomes her although has an allstar cast is the dumbest thing ever.

It's not that I'm suspicious of you or anything, or that I really care whether Zellwegger and Gere really danced. I just don't like hearsay.
And I don't think Gere and Zellwegger are Broadway-worthy, anyway, unless it's in a play. Forget the dancing- Zellwegger's singing voice was very fragile-sounding, and Gere's was just painful.
And yes, I still liked the movie.

Your and Jon's comment raised this question to me though. Why is that people unwilling to share their true identities more often than not insist on statements of truth based on certifiable sources?

I'm just giving my opinions. I don't spread information that I can't back up with a definite source. Of course, it helps that I know now one in show biz. But still. :)

Crossroads.
Although it did have two lines that made me laugh.

Even the parts in the movie that would normally be bad to the point of being funny were not funny, because my friends and I were so completely bored that we were about to fall asleep. Wow, it was bad.

Ooh, you know what really stunk? The Musketeer. Anyone remember that one?

Well, it stunk. The friends I was with fell asleep on my shoulders because of the stinkiness. The only highlight was the occassional MST3K wisecrack from the guys sitting in back of us. So. Awful.

I found Glitter a great hilarious movie. Specially the ending. I laughed a lot!

See...I did say that Just a Kiss was the worst movie I ever saw...then I thought of My Giant...the only movie that I ever fell asleep watching.
And then Plum mentioned the Musketeer....and I thought of all the movies that were so horribly boring that I couldn't even remember their names.

Why has nobody mentioned Showgirls or Barb Wire yet? They are easily the 2 worst films I have ever sat through, though Barb Wire has the edge because Showgirls was so bad it was good, but BW was just plain bad.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

And I agree that Renee is the worst thing to happen to a musical movie.
De-Lovely sucked. But I still am just bitter that it was so bad, maybe it's not the worst.

Maybe because I was expecting Scooby Doo to ruin my life, I ended up thinking it was kind of ok.

Bobby - I read that one of the three guys who made Blair Witch was just killed in a private plane crash in Florida. He was very young.
