I made a bet with someone that I would enjoy the next Broadway show I saw or would give up theater entirely forever. I opened the NY Times ABCs and saw every show started with "Ryan Murphy Presents..."

My wife and I had had a nice evening out, our first alone since our little daughter was born 7 months ago. As we pulled up to the house, ready to pay the babysitter and see our child, we could hear the faint sounds of a Jim Colyer song playing from inside.
