Do they ever change usernames on here, or should I just start a new account? I wrote to them, but never received a reply yet. If they basically don't ever do it, no use waiting, heh.
Not exactly sure what this is in regards to, but reading between the lines, I can offer...
I had a series of issues with my account here on BroadwayWorld. I tried contacting the board for support several times and never received a reply. Eventually, they just deleted my account and after several tries to reregister, I gave up and just created a new account. This happened twice. That is how I went from ARTc to ARTc2 and now ARTc3.
ARTc3 formerly ARTc. Actually been a poster since 2004. My name isn't Art. Drop the "3" and say the signature and you'll understand.
Just seems silly to have a username created when I used to do theater reviews for my site Oasis, but I no longer do them, so... figure I should just start fresh.
God I wish I could change my username. That's what I get for joining at 14, I suppose. I'm just glad most of you all seem to take what I have to say seriously on here with a username like mine.
Heh, I specifically wanted to change it before i crossed into Legend status. Noticing I was less than 100 posts away was a slight motivator to pull the pin. Not that post volume and post quality have anything to do with one another, but still...
I still read what you have to say even with your jailbait-picked username.
You may have created a new profile (like so many others on here) but with your old one still active you'll probably be hearing from the administration soon.
Eh, had they replied to my request to change the username within the timeframe they had indicated, then we wouldn't be in this situation now... not really my concern.
I'm not sure if "like so many others on here," is supposed to indicate I'm changing it for some nefarious purpose. Were that the case, I'm unclear why I'd announce it, and put my new username in my old signature.
Since I run a community website, I get the technical issues they have. They can't let me delete my account, since that unspools any threads I may have started that have since become popular (I started the Bullets preview thread, for example, which I imagine they wouldn't want to suddenly disappear). But changing my name has no ill effect. If they don't want people changing it every day, make it require a $5 PayPal donation to BC/EFA every time, who cares? But not having a solution isn't a solution.
People both posted here, and messaged me privately, that the administration here has refused to change their usernames in the past, so they can do whatever they want...
WickedRocks, I have liked your username from the first day I joined. Not because of the subject matter, but the way you write it out. In addition, I enjoy reading your posts.
