Dear MTV,
Thanks for giving us probably the worst VMA's ever. And not to sound harsh, but the first two hours felt like reverse segregation. I would say to fix this, find a new host and put the camera on more people than just Jamie Fox, Usher, and Beyonce. The only saving grace was Kelly Clarkson.

Posted: 8/29/05 at 3:44pmI went and there were not that many empty seats... until R Kelly's performance... then everyone went out to get drinks. Anyway, the fact that there was a hurricane two days before the VMAs definitely impacted the whole weekend experience. Last year, it was crazy everywhere. This year, it was easy to get reservations at restaurants and there were a lot less people in town.

I have no doubt there were less people this year thanks to Katrina. It may also have been b/c the rows in that section are rather wide. I don't think that looks too great on camera. I haven't watched the show yet, so this is only from my vantage point (I was to the right of the main stage).
I was curious whether or not any of the cursing made it on air even with the delay. After 50 Cent's performance, he or the other guy he performed with (not sure of his name) yelled, "Fat Joe, you are a pu..." or something to that effect. After that, a bunch of people rushed the stage and about 12 police officers followed. Was any of that shown?

It really was the worst VMA's I think I've ever seen.
I love Diddy as much as the next person but he cannot host a show like that. You need a comedian, someone who can keep the show flowing. Diddy can't do that.
Kelly Clarkson will ruin her voice right quick if she ever tries that again.
R.Kelly. I'm still trying to figure that one out. What the hell? He's gone like Bobby Brown crazy.
