I hope Rob Thomas and the writing staff can keep toeing the line between engaging the fan base and pandering to it. And that the 3rd season gets some damn ratings. But of course, it won't, because House has also moved to 9pm Tuesdays and it's a ratings juggernaut. (I like that show, but I'm seriously pissed that it's the latest thing to crush poor teeny VM.)
Well, House is on at 8 until October because Standoff is on at 9, and then baseball is on all of October on Tuesdays on Fox, leaving VM up against baseball, and not House. So, yay!
Also, I know that at the beginning of the first episode, Rob intends to cater somewhat to the Gilmore fans (which I am one of and don't really understand why they should cater to anyone) with more of the humor of the show. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
Who bought it today?
I know I did and I cant WAIT to watch season 2!
I'm just gonna get it from netflix -- or borrow someone's.
But I'm looking forward to seeing it too.
I ordered it and it came to my house the day after I left for school and then then my sister took it to Indiana and left it there! I was kind of pissed, but my mom bought a nbother one at Best Buy since they are on sale for $20 all over the country. Go get it!

I love Veronica Mars. I cant wait for season 3 to begin. I really hope that being paired with a huge hit like Gilmore Girls will help VM out. It had a tough time last season. Plus, no more a hundred directions mysteries. Last season was like a game of Shoots and Ladders, the went on one path then oh no, another one. It was very confusing, but still awesome and amazing.

The premiere was a little slow, but they did a good job of introducing all the characters anew while not boring the long-time fanatics viewers. I liked the little touches like Wallace playing with a mini-basketball, and the new characters have promise.
PREMIERE SPOILERS
Just how many people have been killed on this show, though? Jeez. It's a regular slaughterhouse. And Keith's subplot was beyond esoteric, but at least at the end it got easy to understand. Keith + Evil guy with gun = why the hell isn't the second episode airing already?!
END SPOILERS
Little-known fact about helpmeveronica.com- it was not actually started by the CW, Rob Thomas or anyone formally affiliated with the show, but by a fan best known as Polter-Cow. This has to be the only show that inspires its fans to do their own viral marketing.
