I was so excited to hear this.
I wonder how many weddings are already starting to be planned.
Anthony Rapp already stated on his myspace that he and Rodney are planning to exercise their right to marry next year.

Posted: 10/25/06 at 4:17pmI am in support of the right to marry for all, but politically I wish this would have been announced AFTER the election. No reason to stir up the homophob base.
re: Victory in NJ#5
Posted: 10/25/06 at 4:22pmI agree. Unfortunately, this is going to stir up the "conservatives". I don't imagine we can win any seats in states that hold a gay marriage referendum. I would be curious to know if that has already been factored in predictions or not.

yeah, this isn't gonna change anybody's mind about who they vote for in nj, but it might have the effect of riling up the far right and driving up turnout. maybe not though, not the way a ballot initiative would. i'll be interested to see how tom kean plays this. i can almost see the commercial tomorrow...
"now that the bob menendez's liberal activist judges have declared that heterosexuality is no longer welcome in new jersey, he has said he wants to legalize sex with animals for his buddies back in washington..."

Posted: 10/25/06 at 4:36pmnow that's a lie. that's a g*dd*mned lie and you know it, namo! the people are smart enough to realize that foley has no intention of marrying their sons. he just wants to use them for sex. god! the lies the liberal left will sink to to promote their pagan pansexual satanist commie agenda!

The NJ Senate race is a mess, anyway. A Republican product of nepotism or a Democrat product of a corrupt political machine? Quintessential NJ politics.

First - This is a great day. I am surprised NJ is the state to be the first of anything so controversial, but NJ finally did something right.
Second - You are all correct. The elections & campaigns in NJ are insane. I can't drive anywhere without getting blinded by the glare off the signs. And the sad part in the local town elections are worse than the senate/governor elections. It is completely outrageous. My town in NJ is like 1' by 1' and yet there is worse corruption/mud slinging/ruthlessness than the damn presidential election.
