As someone who used to be on the inside of most of Christian leadership, I can tell you -- the ones who are most vocal about homosexuality are the ones who are 99% of the time VERY gay (and sleep with men regularly).

That's usually the case with these people who try and tell everyone else how to live their lives. It also applies outside of religion. Just take a look at the so-called "America's Mayor". He worked to have all the adult stores closed and banned drinking at street fairs because he thought they were immoral activities, yet he was carrying on with his "assistant" while married to someone else and in front of the children. As they say, "Do as I say, not as I do".

It amuses me that Christian's think homosexuals are denounced in the bible, especially since there was no word for homosexuals until the 19th century when people started to study human sexuality. So how could a book written 2000 years ago refrence a modern term? It baffles me.

People are ready to believe something that is 2000 years old, been translated god knows how many times and take it as fact. I think the Bible is an interesting book with some good moral concepts, but should be taken as alagory and parable, nothing more.

I admire people with strong faith and It astounds me how some christians can just pull bible quotes and verses out of practically no where, I know I couldn't...well mostly because I'm atheist...I respect peoples differences and their religious convictions, but to hate someone or a whole section of people based on what a book tells you? That just to me seems nonsensicle. Maybe i'm just jaded with religion or can't see it because I'm an atheis.

But if you've ever played a game of telephone, you know the original message gets lost somewhere around the 5th person, so with 1000s of translations you would think something would've happened along the way. Someone could've thrown in a thought here or spread some propaganda there.

just my 2cents. Sorry if I offended anyone and their religion, that's not my intent, just giving my own thoughts on the subject. :)

I guess you can call me masochistic. I watch your show out of pure hate. If it wasn't so sick, it would be funny but, I find it disturbing, disgusting and absolutely ridiculous. You say that gay is a perverted choice people make. If you believe that homosexuality is a choice, then being straight must be a choice too. So, let me ask you, Mr. Keller, when did you DECIDE to be straight? You say two women don’t fit. Two men don’t fit. G/d created women for men and men for women. So, if you believe that, then that means sex is ONLY ok when it is to make children? Is that what you are saying? I watch your show and my blood pressure must be sky high. You are brainwashing people. You think other religions are brainwashing people? You, Mr. Keller, are the brainwasher. If you don’t agree with someone, you hang up on them. You seem to think you are always right, you can’t even listen to other people. G/d forbid they argue with you!! That must be a sin! I remember you telling a 12 year old boy that he was “confused” when he said he thought he was gay and then you hang up on him. I would not be surprised if that child committed suicide. Did you ever hear of the word acceptance? Learn it. Use it. Did you ever hear of homophobic? Why is there such a word? It’s because there is such a thing. And you, Mr. Keller, are the epitome of it! You speak of “Gay Day” at Disney World and how you can only imagine Walt Disney spinning in his grave to know this type of thing was happening at this wonderful place. I think Walt Disney is smiling in his grave to know there is such a day to welcome people of this nature to get together. You say that the media is glorifying homosexuality. Hmm… maybe that’s for a reason. Because people *like YOU* need to accept it! I have taken a class on sociology of human sexuality. I am happy to send my book to you. I think it should become your new bible. And the money thing…do you think there is a reason that you are not making money to put this program on nationwide? Perhaps…it’s because what your preaching is ridiculous, disgusting and false. If I wasn’t so shocked at what you are saying, I’d be throwing up. Sometimes I think it’s a nightmare. I wish it was a nightmare but sadly, the truth is, you are trying to brainwash people. I remember another time someone called in and told you she was in the military- you praised her until she said that she had to have an abortion a few months ago and she knew she had to do it for her own self. She was saying how she felt terrible about it but it was her body and she felt it was necessary- she was calling asking for a prayer in which that's supposedly ‘your job' but you refused to pray for her because she got an abortion and felt she needed it. You talked about how she is killing a child and she is going to hell. Don’t you think she already felt bad about it? And now you are telling her she is going to hell. Well, talk about giving someone a bit of support. Absolutely discusting.

When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus included, "Love your neighbor as thyself." He did not say, "Love your neighbor as thyself, only if they are Christian and straight."- You sadly happen to do the latter.

I would continue but I think you got my point…or at least I hope so. Go ahead and keep preaching and asking for money Mr. Keller. But I believe the only one going to hell is you.

Religion is just like Webber/Sondheim fans. Here me out:

There are Webber fans who like Sondheim music and vice versa, but there are also Webber fans who HATE Sondheim music and vice versa.

With anyone, it is an individual choice of how they feel towards another human being. There are Christians like this gentleman and that one church that protests funerals who believe that "if you are not like me, then you are evil." But, there are also Christians like myself and KelRel (and others) who are not like that. I believe that being gay is NOT a choice but part of who you are. Just like I am straight and did not choose to be, I just AM/ And yes, there are some Christians who hate Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. But, again you shouldn't bunch all of Christianity in one group. I don't hate anyone that is of a different faith. Again, that is who they are, and who I am to say they should turn from it. Just because I don't agree with that faith, doesn't mean that I have the right to slam them and make them feel like total crap.

I think a lot of Christians have gotten away from what Jesus actually said than what others in the Bible say. When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus included, "Love your neighbor as thyself." He did not say, "Love your neighbor as thyself, only if they are Christian and straight." That is why Christianity is going down the toilet because we as Christians are getting away from that message of love. Instead of following Jesus's teachings, people follow men and women like that guy on television, which is really sad! And I for one apologize to gay people (and others) who have been hurt and shunned by those individuals. Again, please don't group all of us together.

I still don't understand how they can say homosexuality is a choice. My heterosexuality is not a choice, why should anyone else be any different? And what about during Nazi Germany, when homosexuals were being sent to death camps? Would they really make a choice that would send them to horrible deaths?

At least these people are being honest. Most Democratic politicians that “support” gays and gay rights cannot seem to back us 100%. Most times, we are only good enough for votes.

It’s seems pointless for gay democrats to continually attack these Christians. What we really need to do is attack the hypocrisy in the Democratic Party. Either they are with us, or they are against us. As far as I can tell, they are against us. They are as pathetic as these religious extremists are and as hypocritical as any republican. Civil liberties are non-negotiable and its time for us to stop taking it up the @ss.

That's the thing. I'd really love to but he reads some things on the air and I'm afraid he's gonna read it. Although, probably not. But he could easily bring it up somehow or another. Not that it would really matter...I guess I don't even have to sign my real name.

You can send it. It will be ignored or he will say the devil is in you and leave it at that. You cannot explain anything rational to these people. If it is not 100% in agreement with their views, then you are evil, you are the devil and nothing else you say will get through. They lock their narrow minds and celebrate their ignorance.
