Well, sin can also be considered doing wrong things "Lying, stealing, etc." Pretty much, if you break a law . . . earthly or spirtually, then you did something wrong. Just a-saying!

OH YAY, they responded.

They said:

first..I have NO CLUE who you are..or your "friend"...we get over 40,000 emails DAILY that we respond to..if you want to
supply ALL of the email correspondence between your ":friend" and Liveprayer..be happy to look it over..there are 700 of us who answers these emails..please..send your"friends" initial email that precipitated our response..thank you..


I replied:

Ok, why the snide comments? No where in my e-mail did I say anything that neeed this kind of response. You do not need to see what my friend wrote to give me a proper response that I, MYSELF, wrote you. I was just giving you my opinion and if this is what this television program has to offer people who respond than there is nothing else for me to do but hope and pray that you come to your senses.

I honestly couldn't care less what these people think. Religion is a choice, and if they choose to spend their energy wrapped up in a world of fear, that's their business - like it is for everyone.

BUT, I do have a problem with it being used to legislate MY existence and choice. They can condemn me to whatever mythological afterlife they want - but they SHOULD not be able to dictate what I do on this earthly plane, as long as it doesn't interfer with others.

I'm tired of listening to morality debates - take it to a church and have at it - and leave civic discourse in the public domain where it belongs.

Thread jack- DG I know that you are being very serious in your above statement, but it is so hard to take it as seriously as I know you mean it because to me I just see it coming from that adorable little penguin who just screams "hug me!". I thought the fundies didn't believe in the perception of reality. G-d spoke, and therefore it is: no perception required. How odd. I guess this kind of perception fits rather badly into their malformed world view.

My favorite is the mantra of "We get 40000 emails a day". Their rudeness is almost enough to make me write to them. But, what purpose would it serve? They are the definition of the modern day Pharisee. What would Jesus do? Mock them. Yell at them. Anger them. Ignore them. Anything but be nice, really.

Yeah . . . that is why I am not e-mailing them anymore. It's weird that they say they get THAT many e-mails and there are hundreds of people that answer them . . . but the tone, grammer mistakes and other things match EXACTLY to who e-mailed me the first time. And the coincidence that I got the same person twice when there are supposedly "hundreds" of people that check e-mails are very, very slim.

UPDATE!!!

I swear, the only reason I can think of why I watch this show is out of pure hate.

Last night really got to me- A LOT. I knew it wasn't going to get me anywhere but I wrote it anyway.

This is what I wrote: I don't understand your hate for people who are different. So you say that blue eyed people are born with blue eyes. I agree. I also believe that homosexuals were born that way. If homosexuality is a choice, why would people make that choice? Nobody chooses to be gay! And I believe it's actually beginning to be proven in studies that are being done that there is some chemical imbalance. So, will you change your mindset if it's proven?

Have you ever watched a Broadway show or any live theater show? If so, I can almost guarantee you that there was a gay man in that show. Why would you go pay to see a show with a gay person? Many movies have gay actors, why would you CHOOSE to watch that movie?

Why do you think it's being shown on the news and there are groups in schools for it? The reason is that people are learning to accept others whether they agree with what they do or not! Because of the news on TV and gay acceptance groups in schools, it is being taught to accept everyone and homosexuals are being less targeted against. Do you think the reason for killing of Matthew Shepherd was ok? On his site, there is a quote and it says: "Replace hate with understanding, compassion, and acceptance."- try that Mr. Keller, you may like it!

If one doesn't obey Jesus by being straight, is he or she going to hell? If you think you're going to heaven, I sure don't want to go there! Who the hell would want to be with a person who condemns others lifestyles!?! Nobody said you have to be homosexual but you are telling people it's an ABOMINATION! Why can't you respect others for what they do? There is a quote you should learn, "LIVE AND LET LIVE" I don't understand why you won't do that. It's really not that difficult.

It's disgusting how much you try to brainwash people. It seems some people are smart enough not to listen to your BS. I can't even say why I watch the show- maybe out of hate for you are your preaching. There is a point where you are so ridiculous that it becomes amusing. That is, sickly amusing.

Edit: Although I can see where you can be offended, I don't think that has to be taken in negative way. In my classes we've talked about it and the issue even came up about the definition of imbalance and it's how you perceive it. I have a chemical imbalance- I have anxiety (more than the "normal" person)...is that wrong or weird??
