No one said it's "wrong". But an "imbalance" implies that there is something that needs to be "balanced" to correct it.

Dude, calm down, I don't have them in my back pocket.

I'm taking the same teacher next semester (that I had for the class that we discussed it in)- I will be more than willing to ask him for articles.

Edit: As I said, I may not have used the right word. But, it's really how you perceive it. I know many people (straight and non-straight) that aren't offended by what I said. But, as I said, I can see where you are coming from and if I offended you, I appologize- it was not my intention.

Actually, the term "homosexual" was not created until the late 19th century. This is, of course, in the English language, and I don't know the history of Armaic (is that what he spoke?) BUT, I believe that the term in general was not created until much after Christ was around. And he couldn't really discuss a topic that hadn't been created yet, could he?

(I am not, for the record, saying that homosexuals did not exist before then... just that it was not really recognized as a form of sexuality until much, much later.)

This works as an argument on both sides, unfortunately. Homophobes could use it as an argument that it is a recently created term and therefore NOT something that has been around forever, but on the other hand, Jesus couldn't actually condemn a subject that wasn't yet in existence...

It's very, very confusing.

But I love the fact that a leader of the church is calling you an idiot. Ha. I'm sure Jesus would have done the same. I mean, how many times did he call people of opposing viewpoints idiots? Let me go check my bible...
