re: W - The Film

When saying the title, is it pronounced "double yoo" or "dubya"?

re: W - The Film

Dubya.

Double yoo is a hotel brand.

re: W - The Film

First of all, I doubt many Academy voters will even get through the trailer, let alone the film.

They'd rather drink battery acid.

They'd rather vote for battery acid, too.

It really does look awful.

I'd like it better if I knew how it ended...

Has George Bush responded to this anywhere (or any of the Bush clan for that matter)? I'd love to hear what he has to say about it!

No Faye Dunaway as Laura? re: W - The Film
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

re: W - The Film

I've heard that the trailer isn't the best representation of the film. Apparently the film is mostly about Bush's attempts to gain his father's love and approval. From the way I've heard someone who read the script talk about it, it sounds rather sad.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
