Pop, my body is not my own. I do what they tell me. If they want me scruffy, I don't shave. If they want me bald, I comply. If I'm being paid to walk up and down a runway with next spring's line and they want my legs all smooth, what am I supposed to do? My body hair is not for me; it belongs to THEM.

See, Zola, that's the part I didn't understand. I was under the impression you were shaving your legs because you wanted to. But if your body is not your own and you're shaving because you're told to, I feel much happier about the whole thing.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I often get asked why this thread is so long, and why is it here anyway? (hah, I ask it the most)
I think the answer is because of the caring the members of the board have for each other, it ain't about me, it's about having a special little meeting place, like the local diner or corner pub.We "meet" each other, share stories,humor,rants and all the while connecting even deeper..now I know there are feuds and battles on the Board, some dark and nasty, but they don't find there way here, which makes it sorta a safe house.
You can and should look to this weird and wonderful family for support, you are a WONDERFUL young man, full of passion and talent, and a very positive energy, if bad times befall you, hold strong, keep on the path.
A number of years ago I made a choice to keep positive in a dark period, a long term love affair was ending, I wasn't in a creative place, and had embraced some bad habits. I came out of that with the knowledge that "I'M" all I got, haha, so I'm much easier on myself, so I don't look like Brad Pitt, I'm not The Phantom on Broadway, and big deal, I live in Staten Island at the moment! Ya know what, everyday little dreams come true, and I never let the "shyt" get to me, and I git da "SHYT" thrown at me everyday...so stay strong, hang out here for a spell, let, Bboobs,robbiej, jrb, and my dawg Phanty among countless others all give you a shoulder to lean on and some friendly "faces" to enjoy this little world with!
