I heart this song so much. I fell in love with it when I saw "Working Girl". It literally brought tears to my eyes.
Then, after 9/11 and the anthrax scares, the US Postal Service used it in their tv ads show they were still hard at work. Just reading the lyrics again and hearing Carly Simon's voice in my head made me cry a little this a.m. (thank goodness for waterproof mascara!)
Can it be done as a duet at SO3 with say...another blue-eyed Broadway sweetheart? Trade verses as solos, join on chorus/ending
I smell a rousing finale for the evening...the crowd on their feet...cheers and wild applause piercing the air. (or is that the smell of my egg mcmuffin warming up in the microwave which will be greeted by similar displays of emotion...?)
