Cam, funeral potatoes are a HUGE thing out in Utah. Any kind of party - birthday, anniversary, engagement, etc. you'll find this dish at. When the Olympics were held in Salt Lake in 2002, one of THE hot items people were after was the Official Funeral Potato lapel pin. I'm a geek for Olympic pins and these pins were going for ridiculous amounts of money on EBAY. Needless to say, I don't own one.

To my Dearest BWW Lovelies!
For the next couple of weeks I'm going to be slightly awol, as both work and creative commitments keep me from posting on any kind of regular basis, I'll be thinking of you all and look forward to returning to dish and dash!
Hopefully I'll be rubbing elbows with some of you on Saturday at the Duplex enjoying Robbiej in BASKETCASE!
I’ll be seeing you;

BTW...that song always get me...my Mom used to always sing that song and it makes me think of her and what's strange is that her B-Day is tomorrow...almost as if she had you post that song for me. It made me smile. I miss you Mom....Happy Birthday.

yes Girly...tomorrow I will seeing a Broadway show...she was the one who introduced me to Broadway and every year I would take her to see one on her B-Day and one on Father's Day.

LOL Omigosh...I didn't know about the pins.
And, the networks made a fuss about how much Jello is consumed in Utah. Heck. We have lots of potlucks and extended families have lots of get-togethers. Jello is cheap and versatile. :o)
