Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I hope he doesn't end up like MJ. How old were the contestants?? Ugh!
Ok dear friends, I must tell you about this past weekend's Miss Junior America Pageant in Ohio...oh what a show it was, um, shall we say, a NIGHTMARE and a THRILL all in one.
Let's start with the "talent", there was an 11 year old girl who sang "Touch me in the Morning", and an all white tone deaf rap group called, "Traffik Jamz" who pretty much made my weekend if not my YEAR! Followed by a "jazz" singer who warbled off key so much I fear she might topple over....then of course there was the gals....all a bundle of nerves and excitement.
Well all except one lass, named Vicky Beemer, who was the most vicious and spiteful and AMAZING creature I've ever laid eyes on in my 38 years on the planet..she actually hissed at one of the girls who stepped on her dress!
"WATCH IT SSSSSSSSTUPID!" She then turned to me with a fake smile and said, "Thanks for being so niiiiiiiice",... "At least one of us is.." I replied with my OWN fake smile!
As usual by the end I was adlibbing like crazy to the stunned faces of the local parents, by time I sang "Special Angel" to the departing Queen I feared they might rush the stage and bash me!
After the show it was Coors Light and ten cent wings with the crew which is always a hoot, then off to bed and wake up for next morning's "teen adventure" a smaller scale show to train the up and comers! Then an "acting" seminar with the agents who are the judges of the show in which all the girl's dreams of superstardom are sent packing to the land of painful reality!
Little did I know that the adventure wasn't over, because due to weather conditions I was stuck in the airport from 4pm Sunday until 10:15 AM Monday! Not AMAZING! But it was worth it to have witnessed "Traffik Jamz" bust a move on the dance floor...by the middle of the first song they were out of breath, instead of even trying to give any kind of performance they just kept running around screaming "What?WHAT!" and sweating like swine in a holler!
I told them backstage they should change their name to either "Out2Lunch" or "Expandin'Waistlinez"...it was met with that deaded eyed look of a POW..Oh well at least I'm back and with you all, and I've got Texas to look forward to in a few weeks, and they take their pageant in a VERY serious manner down those there parts!
So, what have I missed?
Damn you Vicky Beemer!!!
There's a classification post what I wrote.
Everybody wants to be an 'Eddie Varley'. :)

"Hi! Thank you so much for choosing me as your N. Kansas City Queen! I hope to help my community and meet many different people from around my state and will be back next year to try again, with more self-esteem, more confidence, and a huge smile, knowing, like Kimberly said, 'I am perfect just the way God made me.' Thank you so much! And don't forget that Eddie Varley... he's a fine looking piece of man"

I am so thankful I have my own classification, as I'm truly mixed up! haha
I feared for your life Varley! I was beginning to think that RightSaidRick had staged an Ohian abduction. Little did I know that it was the curse that Vicky Beemer obviously put on you for that "nice" retort that did you in. Don't mess with hissing beauty gals! I know, believe me I know! Glad you are back.

BTW...where IS RightSaidRick?
He's been suspiciously...chillingly...silent.
Does the warm weather effect his "hobbies" or is he just too busy still recovering from post-Tony festivities.
Perhaps someone should check the last time Mr. Shaiman posted, too!

Eddie,
You keep getting boosted to the top here--not that that's a bad thing...
I think you zoom to the top more often than than the esteemed, talented and very long-suffering (just ask RSR) Marc Shaiman.
It makes me grin to see this long-standing thread just reappear over and over and over... :o)
Here's my contribution to your maintaining top-billing on this board.
