Long read and not totally surprising, but still quite interesting to learn the nuances of what is happening. As someone who splits his time between the US and the UK, I can see why more people are giving it a go.

if only it was so easy to just pick up your things and move to another country. the way Dumpster is destroying the US makes me want to leave more & more each day.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Good for them, wish them well. I wonder how other countries feel about people from US moving to their country in larger numbers. I am willing to bet they are not that thrilled with it.

I think how people in other countries respond depends on a myriad of variables just as it does in the US respond when their neighborhood, city, state, or region experiences an influx of new residents, regardless of from where they newcomers hail.  Newcomers who act respectfully (of people, traditions, culture, et al) fare better in my experience both in the US and abroad.

And here's the MAGA puppet!! Certain countries actually make it fairly easy to move to and become a citizen. Essentially, if you have a stable job that can relocate you to said country, or can easily afford property as a means of retirement, paperwork can be seem less(look up Americans retiring in Malta). Canada is also seeing an uptick in Americans applying for citizenship. Turns out moving to a different country where things are more affordable and you don't have to declare bankruptcy for medical debt is actually an incentive to move out of the U.S.

Do you need help with reading comprehension? My post had nothing to do with how easy or hard it was for somebody to move to another country. You do understand Americans are not loved around the world which was my point. I questioned how happy people in other countries are about Americans moving there. BTW - I wished "uncageg" friends well on their move to another country. Have a nice weekend.

My friends are/were well aware of how some other countries feel. They took the time to research and visit places where they were welcome and felt comfortable. They took time to make their decision and move.
