I feel like I'm in 2005 every time I come here.

What exactly seems to be wrong with it??

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The layout is just very outdated in my opinion. And sometimes the profile functions glitch for me. Nothing too horrible, but lots of other forums are a lot better, like reddit or even the comment section of (some) news sites. The website is still definitely usable though!

Normally I am loathe to stand in agreement with people who have only been here a month, but I was thinking just the other day how strange it was that after 10+ years you still have to type in HTML codes to italicize something.

I've been coming onto this website for years but only to read specific threads. I only started frequently the forums in its entirety in december and then made an account last month. Not that it's super important but I'm fairly acquainted with the site.
But yeah, I remember learning basic HTML text codes years and years ago. Given all of the coding initiatives and innovations in STEM fields, you'd think it would be a little easier to bold text. I know teenagers who could make a more user friendly message board...

Remember there was a design overhaul a couple of years ago?

It seemed like a big deal at the time, but we became used to it so quickly I'd say most people have forgotten it ever happened.

Yep, the site could stand a technology refresh. But, it has an impressive # of eyeballs scanning it per Alexa after the jump. I commend Mr. Diamond and company for their service to the theater community.
