Hitler was neither "caught" nor "killed" by the Russians or anything but his own hand.
And Joey is right that much of Ukraine greeted the Nazis as liberators and then collaborated in the Holocaust.
I have no idea what this has to do with skating.

On May 7th, Moscow was informed that Hitler’s body had been found. From that time on, it was kept under the greatest of secrecy.In 1970, the Kremlin decided to dispose of the body. They claim that it was buried beneath an army parade ground in Magdeburg. SMERSH had kept the jaws of Hitler, used in their dental checks. This was confirmed by Yelena Rzhevskaya who was the interpreter used by SMERSH when Hitler’s dental staff were questioned at Buch. The NKVD had kept Hitler’s cranium. Both of these have been found in Moscow’s archives in recent years. In the mid-1990’s, the Russian authorities claim that they exhumed the body of Hitler from the parade ground in Magdeburg, burned it and then flushed the ashes into the town’s sewage system.

I'm sorry but at the risk of resteering the topic off course and away from male shirtless avatars I have to comment. Suestorm, your knowledge of world history is laughable and you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Life under the Russians both before and after WW2 was just as oppressive for many cultures and people as under the Nazis. That's why multiple countries, not just the Ukraine, rightly or wrongly greeted the Nazis as liberators because they believed foolishly as it was to turn out, that nothing could be as bad as living under the Russians. The Russians have a long history of treating opponents harshly, banishing them to Siberia to work camps for the rest of their short lives. Hitler committed suicide as the Russians were advancing on Berlin. The Russians didn't kill him. The U.S. and ally troops advancing east were the ones who liberated Jews from the vast majority of concentration camps across Poland and Western Germany, not the Russians. If anyone saved the Jews from imprisonment and additional deaths, it was them. The Russians couldn't give a damn whether more Jews died, they were in it strictly to prevent Germany from overtaking Russia and pushing further east. Stalin had signed a non-aggression pact with Hitler in 1939 basically dividing up Eastern Europe between themselves and the Nazis. Russia would have never done a thing about Hitler if Germany hadn't broken that pact and invaded Russia. Read a book about Russia's role in WW2 and life in the Soviet Union during the Cold War and educate yourself about the topic. Forgive me but as the descendant of Russian Jews, to hear someone as naive and uninformed as you proclaim the Russians saved the Jews from anything is nauseating.
Sue, I'm sure you are a good person and I don't dislike you as some others appear to here but many of the comments you make are silly and somewhat naive. When those comments are about theater, I just ignore them and really couldn't care less. But when you start commenting about world history and the Russians, you are way, WAY out of your depth.

fisherman I'm at work now and it's really busy so I don't really have time to go to all your points. I will just say I am under no illusions about Stalin and the oppression of the USSR as my whole family was there until I was 10. They hated it which is why they moved heaven and earth to move. . I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that the history books in Russia and America have different stories. Russia was not alone in blaming Jews for everything. Most of europe did as well. Not an excusejust reality.
