All I know is he said it was at Boston College - maybe the school's site would have info?

About UD, I'm not sure about 900. I heard someone in line say that there were 850 seats (and there were some people standing too, so I wouldn't be surprised!

Color and Light - your "regrets as an actor" question did provide a highlight of the night with the Twister movie explanation - "it's not even worth talking about." Didn't you just *love* the SCPAB "bodyguards"? They got in every single picture.

Other tidbits: I also enjoyed when he answered (paraphrasing) "as a gay man, was it hard to play a straight one?" with "It was terrible... I had to kiss Idina..." He, of course, was laughing the entire time.

And, of course he was asked boxers or briefs... and he spent a long time explaining why he liked boxer briefs. LOL.

I wouldn't hold your breath for that one. My friend and I could help but joke about all the typical questions he could possibly get asked. Thank goodness he has fun with it!

Oy, I know. I mean...we were JOKING! I guess we should be thankful no one asked what his shoe size was as well...

"as a gay man, was it hard to play a straight one?"

Heh, it's like the reverse Brokeback Mountain interview question.

That's like the reverse of The Evil Question. hah.

Yes, I'm thankful it was not paired with shoe size.

Yeah, while answering that same question, he said on the scale of 1-6 (6 being 100% homosexual) that he was a 4.5/4.75... you know every fangirl in the room actually thought they had a chance at that point :)

Oy.

At Rutgers, he got a marriage proposal. When he responded that he was taken, there was a chorus of boos. Hrmph, Rodney's awesome, how dare they boo him!

(This was also what Anthony referred to that night when he said "Well, THIS is going up on the Internet. Welcome, Anthony Rapp! (part four) )

But the Kinsey scale is 0-6.

*is also about a .6 according to a test we took*

Skittles, is there any place online to take this test? I'm kind of curious.

Oh, I don't know. I took it in a class and the professor used the info from the Kinsey Institute.

Those SCPAB guards were so intimidating.

But some of those questions were so ridiculous. I loved the thirteen-year-old from the sham performing arts high school around here. And then the whole 4.75 on the Kinsey scale bit - seriously, I literally heard ten other girls around me go "but there's still that 1.25 OMGGGZ!"

Is it wrong to be vaguely irritated by the fact that people were clapping while he was singing "Seasons of Love" ... I just kind of wanted to hear ... him. Way to go, UD!

But these are two of my highlights:

- The west part of the UD Campus, where the Trabant center is close to, has a system of traintracks that runs through it. If you live here, you are used the god awful noises the trains make when they come through, usually at two in the morning. So when the center itself starts rumbling, Anthony pauses and goes "... Is that a *helicopter*?" and there is a collective grumbling of "TRAIN" from the students.

- Anthony singing lyrics from the NYTW of Rent was pretty hilarious. I wish I had recorded it - my sister and I have so many jokes about "Right Brain".

-Anthony reading from "Without You" and getting to the part where he describes meeting Adam Pascal for the first time. There was something about the manner in which he read it that just killed me.

What a great night.

You guys make me laugh. :) Yay for entertainment and happiness...

I apologize for all the people who ask stupid questions... (I'm not one of them, thank god) I don't think we actually got ones like that in Chicago... we got some obvious ones to Anthony fans, but nothing obnoxious like playing straight guys or whatever. hah.

Kinsey scale, that's definately what he was talking about, yep not a psych person here :)

He was nailing republicans last night too. His response to the "helicopter"/train was that Pat Robertson was out for him. He also said that straight people had to help gay/lesbian issues because they needed all the support they could get since republicans have "a lot of money" and "a lot of time."

I may have recorded parts of the NYTW bits. My camera wasn't on when he started doing the original RENT lyrics, but i'll see what I got.

RENTingFAME said: I don't think we actually got ones like that in Chicago

The questions at the Chicago signing that were the closest to being "stupid" questions were "How tall are you?" (Anthony: (?)... 5'9" ~pauses and laughs~ I bare my soul to you and you ask me how tall I am? ~in a laughing, melodramatic manner~) and "Did you ever get sick of seeing Idina's ass?" (Anthony: ~with smile~ "Would you?").

I have a bit of a request. I haven't been able to attend any of Anthony's signings (and I'm beginning to accept that I won't get the chance), and would love to hear any more amusing moments that occured during them, espically the Q&A questions and his responses. I'm getting a kick out of the recent stories you guys have posted.

I'm having a hard time actually finding info on the Q&A parts of his appearances because most people breeze over that part in their reviews by simply saying he did a Q&A and then they go into their actual meeting with Anthony. I've also noticed most people only record him singing (has anyone else noticed just how many clips are up on youtube of Anthony singing either la vie boheme or seasons of love?!).

Anyways I would greatly appreicate if any of you have any more stories to share!

Well, I recorded videos of the Chicago and St. Louis signing. You've proably seen those.

(has anyone else noticed just how many clips are up on youtube of Anthony singing either la vie boheme or seasons of love?!).

Definitely. I personally find the Q&A just as interesting (if not more interesting) as his songs.

Speaking of Republicans, he also made a crack on them during the master class. Someone asked him about the idea that an actor needs to love the character he plays, despite however horrible a person the character is. An he said something along the lines of it being true and:

"An actor might have to play a lawyer or ... a Republican ..."

I didn't take any videos, namely because the only time I was actually close to him was during the master class, and I so near him that I'd feel kind of rude just holding out my camera. At the book reading itself, I was way back and couldn't real find a good view point to film him from.

He only sang a wee bit from "Right Brain". It was mostly "Real Estate" and "Splatter". I believe it was at the end of the latter, but Anthony finished singing and went "Splatter or Rent .... which has better lyrics, I don't know!"

My videos are by no means "good," but if i can figure out how to post them, i will.

Edit: So, YouTube seems to have screwed up my videos, the audio is moving faster than picture. Anyone else have this happen before?? Or is it just my friend's camera Updated On: 5/3/06 at 07:54 PM
