I believe it is an 80s thing, actually. The 80s were nuts.

Yay mid-80s! It's the best- you were in the 80s long enough to be able to claim you lived through it, but you were young enough to miss out on all the bad parts. Bad parts being all the horrific fashion trends that thankfully didn't come in preschool sizes.
I happen to like 1984 a lot. And I'm pretty sure some of those horrific trends came in my size. Ugh, neon colors. (Or was that a 90's thing?... I wasn't paying much attention.)

I was made in the early 80s. (I particularly love 1983. ) Yay to Thunder Cats, He-Man, Shera, and Transformers (I'll also throw in My Little Pony as a guilty pleasure).
