Though I'm a little late, I'll add my two cents.
I am definitely going to Circuit City to try and get that calander. Who knows if they will actually be there, but I'm sending my girlfriend to get it while I'm at school.
And yea, I live in an extremely conservative town, but I moved here from one that wasn't as bad so it was like going back in time. I was already out, so when I came out here, I didn't think about going back in. Within the first few months, I had my front tooth knocked out, almost switched schools, etc. Since I learned to really speak up for myself, people have started to back off from me because they know I'll say something. And now other people have started to tell me when they are having issues so I can bug the people who are doing it. It's quite fun but it never ceases to amaze me. I started a GSA this year and it was incredibly hard. It took over a year. But even with it, and the changes we are making, I still hear comments like 'Where do you think AIDS came from?!' and stupid stuff like that. But I still get so surprised at how upset I can get over the issues and all...but seriously, how can people be so dumb?
And for the newer topic, have fun at the signing tomorrow!!!

I'm reaaaaaaally late, but hey, might as well!
My town is a bit... mixed when it comes to homosexuality, but I go to school in the next town over and they're a bit better about it. I still hear things like "thats gay" and stupid stuff, and its annoying, but we deal.
I was one of the founders of our school's GSA, I'm vice president, and its actually doing well at our school- we had 45 people and 6 teachers show up at the first meeting, and while its gone down a bit from that, its still fun. People aren't too afraid to be out at my school.
My mom has a slight teeter-totter opinion. She's all for homosexuality and gay marriage, but doesn't like the idea of adoption. We were in the car once and Anthony's cd was in, she made me skip over Just Some Guy because it made her uncomfortable.
She's been getting a bit better, though, Collins and Angel are her favorite characters in RENT and she insisted I go with her to see Brokeback Mountain... she doesn't know about my own bisexuality, and quite frankly, I'm not ready to tell her despite being out to everyone else I know. I think she somehow has a clue, though(my constant lobby for gay rights, vice pres of the GSA, the fact that every time my sister-in-law says 'thats gay' around me she apologizes profusely...). Speaking of said sister-in-law, I think she's the only one in my family who knows, because... well, she's been to my Myspace and its kinda hard to miss.
What amuses me is some of the girls at my mom's office. You have Theresa, the young, hip, always exercising and trying new things girl... who is an extreme homophobe. Then you have Marsha, the older, uptight, extremely conservative one, who loves movies like RENT and Brokeback and A Home At The End Of The World. XD
I loooove clubs at school... I'm in the GSA, Drama club, and Tech club at the moment. Theres a few more I'd love to do but don't have time. Oddly enough, Math team is actually respected at our school.
Lesley: I could barely understand what that she said. Writing like that gets annoying. Has anyone else seen the book "TTYL"? I was flipping through it in the library and I couldn't believe that someone actually wrote a book like that...Honestly, one of the lines was: "OMG like he is the ONE. SOOOO HOOOT". My teacher and I looked at each other and I slowly put the book down.
Clubs...there's Drama (I was in a drama production and that's what qualifies you to be in it...I guess I'm in it.), Spanish club, and YACS (Youths of the American Cancer Society or Youths Against Cancer)...I was in the Bowling Club but the advisor went to another school..
That's it. But I'm also in the Explorer Post for my local ambulance core. And I'm an MRT--medical response technician (But I still have to apply to be a member).
I think that's it.

"Ok, info on the yourtube stuff, my friend is going to have Anthony watch it and if he likes, he will make it public."
saschasf, what could Anthony NOT like about it?!? I've already seen a snippet (or two) from Saturday night and, oh my gosh, Anthony is... wow, AMAZING!!
But that's nice though, that he wants Anthony's opinion before making it public. Thanks again for letting us know what's going on with it, saschasf. =)
Rogue and Dramatic...myspace makes me sad as well. Yay to all of us for have the ability to write (in English!)
It also scares me to think that this person may actually show up at a signing! Poor Anthony:)
Clubs..well, I'm not a student anymore, but I was in International Thespian Society, Red Cross, TEAM (peer leadership), and....*covers head and ducks* cheerleading.

Yea, there have been a few people that I even refuse to talk to because the stuff they say is so dumb. The same person who would try to argue with me about how homosexuality is wrong and blah blah blah thought that D.C. was in Cuba. So at this point, I don't even try to argue with him about anything. But for the amount of homophobes we have, we had a good amount of people that showed up at our meetings. But we are having a lot of people doing a Day of Truth to go against us. *sigh*
I say that tomorrow everyone should bring a bookbag with them and have their book in there and if they don't have to buy it, pull it out. If you do, act like you are going to, and then pull yours at when they aren't looking..or when you are gonna get it signed...or...I really don't know...
