Aww, cool Skittles. I definitely don't remember that. In fact, I think the only time I remember Snuffy being imaginary was for this, and maybe for Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. It's weird, I usually have memories with these things. I still remember this Eureeka's Castle primetime special that was on when I was 3--it was called "Don't Touch The Box" and there was this box that made weird/bad things happened--Magellan shrunk, Boggs and Quags were turned into a sandwich, and then I think they realized a bad button was pushed(reverse?) and then everything returned to normal and the box did whatever it was supposed to.
I am so glad you both had fun! Anthony is such a sweet guy!
*Hasn't see whatever that is either*
Sorry Rach, I love it, but wouldn't call it the best kids' video ever. I would have to give that honor to "Cartoon All Stars To The Rescue." In an effort to teach a character and viewers the danger of drugs, they put all the different cartoon characters in this program. They all interacted it was so cool! Let's see there was Muppet Babies, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, The Smurfs, The Chipmunks, Donald's 3 nephews, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Winnie The Pooh, Garfield, Alf, and that creature from the Ghostbusters cartoon show...can't remember his name/what he was called. A couple others. I used to watch that video over and over, I loved it! Alan Menken and Howard Ashman wrote a couple songs for it.

I'm glad you had a great time even though the transit service sucks. It's the same thing for my cousin, they're always late."
Yes, it is ridiculous. I forgot to tell you all, that while I was talking to Anthony, I was on hold to the friggging transit service, It was a weird juxaposition. I was MAD st the service on one hand, but really psyched to be talking to Anthony a little.
Also, I should tell you I met Opiv and Stagewhore. They were both very nice. Stagewhore has been having computer problems which is why she hasn't posted her thought yet. All during the reading, II had been meaning to talk about meeting those two BWW babes, but then the last Anthony experience took over, so I'm sorry, and hope you aren't offended:)
Ok, carry on.:) (I adore Project Runway.)

No need to apologize Wicked. I didn't really mean the BEST ever, but I could watch that video over and over and over again and never get bored, so it was one of the best in that sense. I still love the Wee Sing videos though, has anyone ever seen those? With Sillyville, Grandpa's Magical Toys, and The Big Rock Candy Mountain...
I just wanted to thank everyone for posting such great reviews of your signing experiences. And, backtracking a ton of pages, I really enjoyed your book review, CJR.
And now I'm off to buy the book for myself--I feel awful that I haven't been able to get to the bookstore before now, but this town doesn't have it and being without a car makes getting places pretty inconvenient. I can't wait to read it!

Wow. I just watched the Losing my Religion video, and it's amazing. I've never heard him sing that before.
Thanks for the reviews and the videos guys...they're great!
My computer's behaving for a bit, so I'll say hi.
The signing was fun (of course.) I took Amtrak from where I live to SF, and it was 2 1/2 hours late. I made it to the Booksmith just barely on time, but was able to worm my way up near the front so I could see what was going on. It all went by rather quickly, and there was only 1 awkward question in the Q&A section (that I can remember.)
Anthony has apparently become a speed signer. I asked if he was planning on seeing Spelling Bee while in SF (no, he's too busy) and he asked if I was in it (no, but a girl from my hometown is). By the time that was over, he had signed both my book and the book of the gentleman behind me.
I wandered around for a bit, met saschasf, and confused a girl when I asked her if she was opiv (no, she wasn't). Then I went outside and met a girl with a Mark bear and gave 2 homeless guys my chapstick.
All in all, a good night.
The book is being delayed more for me. And I don't think I can justify to my parents buying it when I have papers to write over the break.

I'm not even going home today. Tomorrow morning. But again, my mom isn't very happy with me right now, I'm not very happy with me right now. I'll get it at the end of the break I guess and bring it with me.
*hugs CS*
I'm sorry. You could always try to convince your mom it's a late Valentine's Day present to show how much she loves you.

This really long, beware.
Holy crap. So, I had the most amazing night last night at Anthony's book signing. I would have posted something last night, but it took me a while to process everything. I started to get really sick at work yesterday, and I was really worried that I wouldn't feel good enough to go. By the time we got there I was feeling a lot better. The signing started at 7, but I couldn't get there until 7:30. Tom and I walked into the bookstore, and I could hear Anthony talking. It was packed inside this tiny little book tore on Haight St., and having just come in 30 mins. late, we were in the back. I made my way up as close as I could, but I still couldn't see Anthhony. We missed the reading, but we got there in time for the Q & A. He is such an eloquent speaker, by the way. All of his answers were very insightful and honest. Then it was time for him to sing. Someone asked him to sing "Losing My Religion", because it was the song he sang at his audition for the workshop of RENT. He sounded amazing. After that, he said he had time to sing one more song. People threw out suggestions, like Halloween or La Vie Boheme. He said he was "putting his foot down" and doing Without You. He forgot a line in the song, which was very cute. Once he found his rythym, he was amazing. It was such a honor to hear him sing live.
He finished singing, and then made his way to the front of the store to sign. This was the first time I actually saw him. I was way excited.
As soon as everyone started to get in line, I found Cheryl, who was with her friends Gloria and Nestor.
We stood in line together, anxiously awaiting our turn. The closer we got, the more excited and fangirly we got.
Tom was the first of us to go up there. He was getting the book singed for our Mom, so the post it said Denise. He handed Anthony the book, and Anthony said "Your name's not Denise. Unless there's something I don't know about you." It was really funny.
Next it was my turn. I got goosebumps. I walked up to the table and handed my books to Anthony( Without You and my RENT Bible). I waited to take the picture while he was asking the owner if they still carried the RENT Bible.
Then the lady with my camera got his attention, and we took a picture. I thanked him for everything and aksed if we waited until everyone was gone, would he take a Tango picture with me. He said yes. The lady taking pictures and what "the tango pose" was, and he said "Oh, you'll see." It was very cute.
After Cheryl, Gloria, and Nestor took their pictures we went to the magazine corner, sat down, and waited for the crowd to dissappear. We finally got up and went to the back of the line.We had to get out of line and wander off a few times to stay at the end of the line, but we finaaly settled for second to last. I went up to take my Tango picture. Anthony got me in position. I didn't want to just grab his hand, so I waited until he said "Hold my hand". Ok...tee hee hee.. We waited for Cheryl and Gloria to take their Tango pictures, which were really cute, by the way. Nestor and Anthony did the "blow off Auntie Em" pose and flipped off the camera. Then we took a group picture with him.
After thanking Anthony again and telling him how much we loved the book, Tom and I said good bye and left. It was such an amazing night. It's very surreal to meet one of your heros. I can't wait for his show on Saturday!
I'm glad you had a good time D_G.
I could try that Skittles. Although I've tried that many times before .
It's really great to hear that you guys had a great (I know I already used it, bare with me) time.
Well, I hope you get it soon CS - no matter how you go about doing it. And I hope that the next couple hours/days/weeks/etc are much better than your past couple ones.

I just watched the video of Anthony singing Losing My Religion, and as much as I hate that song, he sings it beautifully. I think that if I hear that song again, I may actually be able to listen to it now.
And on different news, I got Open House in the mail today. *excited*
