Some of those are so true though. I remember how I used to be so impatient for our Christmas tree to be ordered, so that we could decorate it, and set up our toy train around it. This year, I didn't care. We used to get up early Christmas morning, but not anymore.
Sitting in the front seat of the car used to be SUCH a privledge, and now I'm DRIVING the car.
Chucky Cheese's used to be amazing, and now I'm disgusted by it.

MTV and VH1 don't even play music anymore. And we no longer have the Box, which used to play music videos twenty four hours a day. We used to beg our parents to let us call in and order a video. They usually said no, but they did let us do it one time. But that channel is long gone now.
And see, even thinking about Red Rover is kind of sad, because now it's banned in a lot of places because parents freak out if the kids get their feelings hurt, or physically hurt from it.

Though it is a little late, 'IT'S MORPHING TIME' almost made me pee myself. I don't think I'll ever be able to see that picture or that part of the movie again without thinking of him as a power ranger.
Topdoggeh, if you find any info about the Hollins University signing, tell me because I cannot find anything on it!

I tried to play Red Rover in 10th grade and we weren't allowed to because a kid broke their arm playing it, apparently. So we played Mother May I? instead. We were extremely immature. Er, ARE extremely immature.
The only thing that I've been able to find out is the day that the Hollins thing is on. All of the other listings have times, at least. *shrug* I'll keep looking and I'll tell you if I find anything and you do the same. :-P WE WILL BREAK THE CODE! *done*

Katt, my beach house had The Box. Maybe it's a Southern thing?
I work in a daycare. I can't tell you how nice it is to go back to a world where finding a lost binky before naptime is the most important task of the day.

Maybe so. I was so sad when that channel went off the air.
I guess I just miss things being simpler. Although being little wasn't always easy, especially when you got left out of things.
But...I miss how the little things could make you happy, you know? People expect more now. Simple toys aren't good enough. Now they have to talk. Nintendo's simple graphics aren't good enough, they now have to look completely realistic. No one has VCRs now...it's all DVD players. I remember when someone having a TV in there car was SO cool, and now it's pretty normal. Having a cell phone was a big deal, but now it's okay to talk on them all the time. And people just seem to get stupider, ruder, and trashier with each passing year, especially celebrities.

No, I didn't find a time. I meant that all the other signings had times, except for the Hollins one. Sorry for the false hope, lol. BUT WE WILL FIND IT! EVEN IF WE HAVE TO STORM HOLLINS OURSELVES!!! MWHAHA!
*cough*
I mean...Red Rover. Now, thats a good game! *looks around* But it probably was good that we stopped being able to play it because I was always the really slow runner who was just short enough to get hit in the face by everyones arms. Oh, the good times of childhood.
Edit: And the Box can't be a complete southern thing because I've lived in a lot of southern states *unfortunately* and I've never heard of it.

Ah, McDonalds... That food litterally makes me gag, lol. I don't know why, it's just like pure greasy crap.
I buy it only for the toys, not the food XD We have a massive collection of those toys in the booth of the auditorium of our school.

I had some of those realizations too early. I remember being really young and going up to my mom and saying, "I know you're the tooth fairy, so can I have my money now?"
O_O
At my school no one bothered with 4 square, we all did Kickball and Red Rover until it was banned.
And I love all of Nintendo's old games. "DUCK HUNT DRIVE BY!" <--- from a hilarious drama club improv scene that involved Nintendo toy guns.
Check out www.emogame.com , they have purposely badly pixelated and unrealistic games and I love it because it reminds me of old video games.
