I was hoping Mario Lopez.
Then he could go do La Cage and get upstaged by that female bodybuilder.

That link does nothing but make me think even more that it's Tom Selleck.
But Latifah would be cool.

Funny, I just watch Tom Selleck on Craig Furgeson and thought to myself, "Hmm, dyed hair, no wedding ring. He's looking REALLY gay."
Latifah?! Isn't she the one who denied being gay all through the filming of HAIRSPRAY when those stories came out about her cheating on her girlfriend and she denied being gay then? Calling her girlfriend her 'trainer'.
yea. right.

I don't know, but my cousin who lives in Brooklyn said she used to see Latifah making out with girls all the time in the bars there. Who knows.

I thought Latifah said really nothing over her sexuality but it was an open secret.
Musto said it was somebody with a movie coming out in the coming weeks, which points to Queen Latifah as a real possibility.

I have never heard of that country singer before. Doesn't seem like a "celebrity," nor a "has-been sixth-rate celebrity" that would qualify national media attention, a media tour, and a publicist to handle the issue.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

The "Celeb" is Shelby Lynn. The only way she could make people is to come out.
Shelby had an up and coming music career in the early 90s. I first met her backstage at the Opry when I was still in high school. Later that year, she did a charity basketball game with a concert at my boyfriend's college. After she performed at the concert, she sat back in the audience with the rest of the performers, two rows in front of me. The woman beside her had her arm around Shelby all night and they were all snuggled up and smootchy. I didn't hear another peep from her out of Nashville. I always assumed it was because she basically came out that night. Everyone who was huge at the time was there and tons of record executives. The country music scene is like a small town and the poo gets stirred very easily. The fans seem to pull performers out of the closet and then turn on them in seconds. I think she did some Lilith Fair type folky stuff a few years ago, but wasn't very successful there either. She played Johnny Cash's mom in Walk The Line.
So, basically, she wouldn't be coming out to anyone who gives a damn who she is. The same can be said of Shelly Wright. She hasn't caused a blip on the radar in years and her sexuality is basically an open secret. People who know who she is pretty much know.

I didn't realize til after I posted that how old that article was. I assumed it was more recent,so it could be Selleck. A lot of time has passed and times have changed. Still, if it is Selleck it may be embarrassing for him having to explain his lawsuit regarding a tabloid accusing him of being gay back when he was popular.

Wait, there's debate about Latifah's sexuality? She's been with her partner for years now. She's like Jodie Foster, Anderson Cooper and Richard Simmons. Everyone knows but just doesn't bother them.

TMZ is now reporting that it is going to be the Chely Wright person. What a letdown, if this is true. I am a country music fan, and even I didn't know who this was. Apparently she was a one-hit wonder about 10 years ago. I can't believe People would give her the cover, unless it's tiny corner pic. I also can't believe the View would book someone this obscure as a guest. I suppose we will find out.

It makes sense that its not a big name, though. This article makes a good point:
" — it must be noted that this celeb isn't just coming out, he or she is going on a Coming Out Tour.
Which has us thinking all three of those possibilities are DOA; we can't imagine any of them taking their sexuality on the talk show circuit. When and if a star of their caliber comes out, we imagine it'll come in an unrelated interview — Queen Latifah will just casually mention she lives with her partner."
A-list or — gasp — C-list?

Booked on THE VIEW on May 5 is Judith Sheindlin (aka "Judge Judy"). THAT is something I can see, and understand it making headlines.
THE VIEW also has scheduled that week Gabourey Sidibe, Ellen Pompeo, Pam Grier, Tim Daly, Willie Nelson, and Mike Tyson.

May 5th. Didn't the Mayans predict this?
I don't think my girl J.J. Sheindlin is a lesbian. Clearly it's Willie Nelson. I always felt that "To All The Girls I've Loved Before" was overcompensating for something.

WIKIPEDIA: Grier dated basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar during the early 1970s and had a six-month affair with actor/comedian Richard Pryor around 1976-77. She was also romantically linked to actor/comedian Freddie Prinze in the 1970s. In 1998, she was engaged to music executive Kevin Evans, but the engagement was called off in 1999. From 2000 to 2008, she dated marketing executive Peter Hempel.
WIKI also says Judge Judy and Ellen Pompeo have a history with the boys.
Gabourey Sidibe???
