Since all the big Broadway names get to make their claims on their favorite love songs, we should be able to as well.
My vote goes for Patti Lupone's favorite love song:
A Case of You by Joni Mitchell
Particularly when sung by Jane Monheit.
I'd also put in a vote for:
I Can Explain by Rachelle Ferrell
Cause the words match the vocal line perfectly, and it is about a woman who was hurt and hurt someone else, but is still deeply in love. BEAUTIFUL song.
Oh so many!
At the moment I'm thinking of "I'll Tell The Man in the Street" sung by Barbra Streisand.

Roberta Flack. Yumm. What a silky voice that lady has. Her duets with Donny Hathaway rank up there as some of my favorite love songs, as well.
Speaking of Donny, I HAVE to say that "A Song For You" is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. And Hathaway's voice has never been matched.
I am simply unable to pick just one... and I am an utter FOOL when it comes to love and all things romantic, so I am drawn to love songs...
A few that have been on the top of my list recently: (from Broadway)

Say It Somehow - Light in the Piazza

I'll Know - Guys and Dolls

Mine is "Isn't it Romantic"
Does anyone know a song by Bette Midler called "Heaven" by Bette Midler? Patti Lupone also sings it on one of her live concert CD's as a finale. The lyrics are beautiful...
I think I'll go to Heaven.
There I will lay me down,
leave all the pain behind me;
bury it in the ground.
Maybe they'll talk about me.
I pray it won't be lies.
Tell them I went to Heaven.
Heaven is in your eyes.
i think SORRY/GRATEFUL is a touching and insightful love song. i learned a lot from it.
These are more recent, but i think "Fade into You" by Mazzy Star is gorgeous, and "The Blower's Daughter" by Damien Rice is also beautiful (and creepy).
So many, but I think I'll go with Selena's "I Could Fall In Love".
If I absolutely had to choose only one, I’d say, At Last by Etta James.
My favorite Broadway love song, stone me if you must, is On My Own from Les Mis.

Unchained Melody- Righteous Brothers
Suddenly Seymour- Little Shop
Oh! I know my favorite love song!!
