Yeah, I hated Pulp Fiction. Everyone said it was funny. I just don't find violence humorous. At all. I do think it was well-written and well-directed, for what it was, but I was not a fan of its content or style. I can handle violent films, but not when the violence itself, when presented realistically, is meant strictly to entertain. That bothers me.
I don't think the violence was meant to be funny. At least, that's not how I look at it.

THANK YOU for reminding me of Monster-in-Law. That was a painful experience. That said, I do believe that Lopez has been quite good before.
"Alone in the Dark"......just plain incoherent.
Tara Reid was almost anti-acting.
About Reid's performance... I love how all that she did to appear intelligent was wear glasses and write down nonsense in a notebook.
Anti Acting?? LMAO.....I'm so stealing that!!
I thought Pulp Fiction was quite funny, but I thought Happiness was funny too...
I haven't seen 98% of the movies mentioned here--I think I'm in the same category as the other poster who asked if people see everything...I don't go see something when there's a VERY LARGE possibility I won't like it--in my case, almost every film mentioned is one I wouldn't pay to see. I do have interest in Sin City tho...
Yeah I learned my lesson after the crapfest that was the 04 summer movie season. Now if I am gonna drop money on a movie I either want to see it badly, it looks decent or my girlfriend drags me, in which case she pays. I know it sounds snobbish but at 9 bucks a ticket it pays to pick and choose. There are even movies that I think might look funny or good for one or two reasons that I won't waste my money in the theatre on, I wait for video. I'm sorry but after I sat throught The Exorcist prequel and AVP I have to be cautious. With that being said CAPOTE opens friday and I can't wait. Now if Goodnight and Good Luck will make it upstate I will have two new movies on my list.
I vote for Miss Congeneality 2.
Eww.
War of the Worlds. (The ending killed it for me)
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. (I should have known better just from reading the title)
The Perfect Man
Red Eye
The Brothers Grimm. It was bad enough by the hour and a half mark. But it just kept going...and going...and going...like the Energizer Bunny, only not so cute or entertaining.
