re: What is your claim to fame?

And as I mentioned on another thread, I performed in a show with Emmy-winner Chad Brannon from General Hospital and I played Brad Majors in the first US production of The "New" Rocky Horror Show. Our second week in rehearsals, we received the revisions from Richard O'Brien. After it was announced that we were doing the revised script on various Rocky Horror fan sites, we had audience members come in from as far as Alaska to see the show.

Well, I wish I had the time, but I too, must run. I have to get my haircut before the local paper interviews me this afternoon.

My claim to fame: being 'interviewed' by Katie Couric (it was a couple of questions) before she was on the Today show (198re: What is your claim to fame?, and the interview being aired on NBC News.

re: What is your claim to fame?

In high school I was in a commercial for a forum one of the local TV stations was having called Teen Talk. I said "You have no idea what it's like growing up today." The commercial also included such gems as "I walk to school afraid of getting a bullet in my back" and "I'm scared of drugs" re: What is your claim to fame?

Oh, Rath! It's still all about you, dear! re: What is your claim to fame?

Hmm.. Claim to fame... I had a speech published in the Congressional Record when I was 19.

Of course, on the theatre front, as you are all discussing...
Nothing really. I starred in my HS musical senior year and I have been mistaken for cast members when coming from backstage. Big time star, right? (But, Rath, it DOES feel good to have the friends on Bway! Don't lie! re: What is your claim to fame? )

I was the lead in a play that toured in CT, NY, London, and Edinburgh, Scotland (for the Fringe Festival).

Millie, let me put it this way - I'm happy because she's happy, but other than that, getting interrupted during meals, at the theater (before, after, at intermission, and even in the ladies' room!) and having to share "my" time with her is not something I'd choose.

re: What is your claim to fame?

So, Rath, you knew her before she became famous?
I certainly understand that, then.

I met some of my friends through Broadway so I expected them to have people coming up to them. I would probably be frustrated otherwise, too. Sorry things like that happens to you, but at least others know how wonderful your friend is!
