Easy for me.

Definitely the time I was walking one night and, not seeing where I was going, collided with a girl who was about four or five years old.

To top it all off, she was in a wheechair.

To top THAT all off....as I was running to get the hell out of there, I hear her caregiver, in tears, saying "Aww...I know it hurts...I know it hurts..."

To top even THAT all off.....this was at Disneyworld.

One time I was in Walmart. There was a young girl, about 10 maybe, who was in a wheelchair. She said something then asked me a question, but I didn't hear what she asked. Instead of asking her to repeat the question, I said, "No." All of a sudden, she had a sad look on her face and exclaimed at me, "You don't think I can ever walk again?" As soon as she said that, I started apologizing and said something like, "Well, you never know what can happen."

Another time, I was walking down Commonwealth Ave in Boston and a blind man hit me with his cane when he was trying to check if there was anything in front of him. I tried to move out of the way when he was coming, but that actually caused his cane to hit me. Clumsy me.

I cant recall anything i've done in public. I do tend to be a punching bag for evil children in stors/resturants! I've been ht by unidentified children three time already this year. and two last year. I really dont know why!

Technically, this wasn't an awkward moment that happened to me, but I had to be the one who try to break the tension.

A group of friends and I were at a bar for a friends birthday. The birthday girl, Laura, is drunk and having a great time and talking to me and another friend, Mat. Laura proceeds to tell Mat about this great picture she has from her brother's past birthday of Mat and Laura's best friend, Laura (different Laura). Now this Laura passed away on the 4th of July last year, and both Luaras were inseperable. Mat then asks, "Man, I love that girl, I haven't seen her in a while, what is she up to?"

That was awkward for me and I wasn't even involved....

I can't believe I am telling this........I had just landed at SFO on a coast to coast flight with my parents. Nanette Fabray had been in first class. As we got off the plane I took off after her yelling "Miss Fabray, Miss Fabray".

A. I totally forgot she was deaf.

B. As I got up to her, I tapped her on the shoulder, she whirled around, and I got so exicted, I pooped my pants.

That was pretty damn awkward.

Oh, it cracks me up too.

I might as well share one now although I confess it probably wasn't my most awkward moment. That is between me and God. re: What is your most awkward social moment?

One time while shopping at Zares (does anyone remember those stores?) I got so excited that they had the extremely hard to find Sorceress figure from the Masters of the Universe series that I peed my pants right there in the store.

The problem? I was nearly 12.

I miss Zares. I think Target is the company that bought them out, but one of the things I'll never forget is the way that my Grandmother said Zares. (Zay-yurs)

Do you remember Richway dept stores?

I dont remember that one, but I do remember Woolworths! We have one like 30 miles from my house and when we go there, I always like to get either a coke float or a oreo malt.

My most embarassing moment is when I was at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia...and you know how they act out all that stuff like they actually are living in that time period and stuff?

Well there was a 'funeral' going on and there were two woman standing next to the door and I asked what is going on? They told me there was a funeral. I thought they were joking because of all the acting that goes on there.

...It actually was a funeral. It was open casket. I felt horrible, because everyone was looking at me.

---

This next one is pretty bad.

I was watching a movie and I laughed so hard that I accidentally sharted.

Everything social is awkward for me but my most recent one was awkward for me and other people.

So, I had a party last night and on Tuesday I was handing out little pieces of paper with info on them for the party. I gave one to this girl H in the morning and I was passing them out for the rest of the day. So at the beginning of an afternoon class I was giving one to A and H walks in and, without seeing me, says "Oh, A, I know you're not going to that, I know I'm not." And then this sweetheart girl next to me turns to H and says "Not going to what?" like six times and to try and cover up the mishap (when she finally noticed that I was in the room) H goes "Oh, just some party that one of my musical theater majors is having.blah blah blah." I was so humiliated.

Worst of all, I handed out 25 invites and only 9 people showed up last night...

I remember Zayre's, Arlen's, Bradlees, Mars and so many more stores that are now history.

My most embarassing moment happened when I was out to dinner with a good friend of mine, and one of my glasses' lenses popped out and into my dinner. Um, now there's a conversation piece. Soooo, there I was; half blind, one-eyed and trying to make the best of the situation. Things were a little blurry after that, but we had a good time anyway. :)

My childhood home was behind the Richway in Austell, Georgia. (Well, more specifically, down the street that ran behind the Richway.) My life-long love of all things Wonder Woman was feuled in no small part by that store. It was were I got my first 12 inch WW Mego doll, er, action figure.

I was going to share an awkward social moment, but anything after Elphaba's just pales in comparison.

Ah yes....Richway in Austell! I spent the first 14 years of my life in Mabelton so we were in Austell quite a bit.

Did you used to say that you lived in LA? Lower Austell? re: What is your most awkward social moment?

No. We moved to a subdivision in Douglasville when I was 6 so that we could look down our noses at all non-subdivision people.

I was so jealous, though! When I lived there, we lived on Hurt Rd. across the street from a big empty pasture. After we moved away, it was turned into a park with a playground. Not just any playground, though. It was a COOL playground. The kind where you could singe yourself on the slides, gouge yourself on sharp metal corners, and crack your skull open on concrete and gravel and still get up, and keep playing because you were having fun, damnit!

Ah, the best kind of playground!

I didn't move to Douglasville until I was 12. Of course, we didn't have a high-flutin sub division to live in. We lived in a mobile home park. The parents did the best they could. re: What is your most awkward social moment?

What subdivision did you live in? Was it that big one over on Stewarts Mill Rd?

No, it was Arbor Station on Highway 5. I went from living behind a Richway to living behind a K Mart. I have to remember to talk to my parents one day about their fixation on discount retail stores...

Ah, yes. Arbor Station. I "went out" with a girl who lived there when I was in Jr. High.

That makes you a Chestnut Log Middle School guy. I went there for 7th and 8th grade.

Hwy 5 is like another planet now. Last time I "went home" I barely recognized it.

The last time I was there I got lost - on the same road I used to take to and from school every day! I only went to Chestnut Log for 8th grade. That was the first year it opened. We thought we were so special... re: What is your most awkward social moment?
