Dollypop, did you receive an "X" as one of the letters? Go to typelogic.com and view the results of the two variations on the letters you do have -- for example, if you were an IXFP, view both ISFP and INFP. You should get a better idea of which type you lean toward. Of course, it's all more complicated than that, but those are the simplest instructions I can give.
Many people are borderline on one of the functions, but most usually lean a certain way, even if it's just a bit.

I was always an INFP, but when I took this one I was INFJ (only moderately J, though). Maybe I'm growing up, or maybe my mood today has something to do with it. Both describe me still, but in different ways.

INFP - big time!
I took a series of training courses years ago and was certified in Myers-Briggs Typology. I've used it in educational settings and in business management consultation. I really believe in the personality theory and it's useful in so many settings.
"Please Understand Me" by David Kersey is a very good read on the subject. Thanks for bringing this up, Son.

I agree, and find his theory of temperaments equally as interesting as individual type profiles.
I've also found it interesting that 75% people are sensors, but there are always a disproportionate amount of intuitives on message boards and the internet in general.
ENFJ (only "borderline J" though)
INFJ
INFP. It's weird how much of the specific details actually describe me.

Where the hell are all the Ts? Not on a Broadway message board?

Interesting how many INFPs there are here when we only make up 1% of the general population.
Those who are NFs might be interested in reading about the typical NF childhoods. A fascinating exercise in looking at yourself in a new way. It's always interesting (though not necessarily peaceful) to be an NF child with SJ parents. You really do live on different planets.
The most interesting part for me was the part about reality and fantasy being interchangable for NFs, which is absolutely true for me(not that I'm delusional or anything).
