Rosebud Salve is delightful, though shiny. But it's terrific. I have jacked up cuticles sometimes and even use it there...it's so healing!
But I, too, endorse Burt's Bees...particularly the pomegranate flavor...delightful.

Posted: 9/23/13 at 1:10pmI concur with the Burt's Bees love. I may love Trader Joe's spearmint lip balm even more, though. It provides excellent moisture, smells (and tastes) yummy and is wonderfully soft and non-waxy. They're inexpensive and sold in packets of three.

I'm an addict, and used to love the vaseline line they had years ago with a lemon and a vanilla flavor. I preferred the vanilla...it was in a purple tube. I havent been able to find it in years.
My substitute is chapstick moisture. In desperation a few weeks ago I got the Duane Reade version and it's not too bad. I always have a tube on my person.
Also, I use straight up vaseline at night.

Posted: 9/23/13 at 1:27pmI found another I love. It's a local business for me, actually. They are online though. It's called Sensible Addictions. All their products are organic and not terribly expensive for it being organic. You can also get scents mixed to your desire. Doubt the lip balm is like that though.

So, I spent another $2 on black Chapstick.

I like Carmex for when I already have chapped lips because the tingle makes my them feel better. But for everyday preventative use, I'm a Burt's Bees user. Especially the honey flavor. It smells exactly like you've slathered your lips with honey. I put it on and walk around sniffing my lips.
I just checked my top desk drawer to see what I had and found 13 different lip balm products. Spotted another favorite, Carmex Lime.

Posted: 9/23/13 at 6:23pmMy lips (and hands) get really dry in winter. I use Aquaphor. It's really greasy, so put it on before bed. They make a lip tube for Aquaphor that I'm fine with wearing during the day as long as I apply lightly, since it can get sticky.

Again, DON'T use Chapstick. It will dry your lips out more than it softens them, in the long run. It's like is you use Visine for your eyes... That stuff can become addictive and not good for your eyes.

Posted: 9/24/13 at 9:24amMaster Bates, I don't know who the hell you think you are, nor do I care, but you use the phrase "cleans toilets for a living" as if it's an insult. Diva doesn't, but plenty of hard working folks do clean toilets for a living. After a remark like that, not to mention so many other offensive utterances that I've witnessed from you, let me just tell you that you seem to be an a*swipe who is not fit to clean the toilets of good folks, for pay or otherwise.

I have been using Chapstick Lip Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 for years and my lips are just fine. Works for me.

Posted: 9/24/13 at 10:43amI agree with Diva regarding chapstick, but the moisture is very different, imo. Works for me. And I've kissed the world of broadwayworld.
