I was siting in the car with my mom, and she was singing with the radio. I suddenly got so anoyed. I don't know what hit me. I can'tstand when people sing along with the radio/CD/whatever, unless it is me.
That was soooooo off-topic from anything.
Maybe. LOL :)
What are some other peoples' pet peeves?

I have two number one pet peeves and they are... people chewing with their mouths open and outfits that don't match.
i absolutely cannot stand the noise that those "open mouth chewers" make! it makes me cringe
EDIT- i just remembered while reading another thread that another one is-- SPELLING ERRORS! use spell check, people!

I have three.
One is the aforementioned ridiculously bad grammar and spelling that pervades the internet (of course, I'm an English teacher, so no surprise).
Second, old people in movie theaters who need to have EVERYTHING explained to them. Somehow, those people ALWAYS end up sitting right behind me!
Third, when I'm driving on a single lane road with PLENTY OF ROOM BEHIND ME, someone turns onto the road in front of me, and then drives slower than I was going initially. THAT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!
>Third, when I'm driving on a single lane road with PLENTY OF ROOM >BEHIND ME, someone turns onto the road in front of me, and then >drives slower than I was going initially. THAT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!
And that guy always nearly causes an accident because he pulls out in front of you so quickly too. Ugh, I hate that.
You got it, Patronus. Just thinking about it is making me mad!

Kate2, I completely agree with you about people chewing with their mouth open, it annoys the hell of me. I'm also kind of like that with people singing too, Chenofan, but I guess it depends on the situation (ie, what song it is and who's singing). I also HATE when people move my stuff...I'm slightly crazy about some things.
People who walk really slowly on the streets of Manhattan.
Do you mean eating and singing at the same time? That would definitely be annoying.
Or do you mean singing with their mouth open? Because that would be...necessary.
I hate that, too. (eating with your mouth ope). I also can't stand sharing things. I know that may sound a little mean, but when I'm having lunch in our school caf., my friends always eat my food and drink my soda without even asking. They get all their germ and spit on my cup/fork/spoon/can and I need to either buy a new drimk or get another fork thing.
I hate it when a person's eyebrow colour doesn't match their hair colour. Ugh, it drives me crazy.
Bad grammar on the internet makes my eyes ache.

Another thing I hate is when people talk a lot during a movie, or if I'm watching a movie I like with someone who hasn't seen it yet and they're talking during the best parts. Same thing with the talking when I'm introducing someone to songs I like. And I meant the eating with one's mouth open and singing as two seperate things. :)
1. Bad spelling/grammar
2. People who are late CONSTANTLY. I can deal with people running a little behind every now and then, but it really pisses me off when people are always tardy. It's the epitome of rudeness in my book.
1. the sound of cracking joints
2. when people say "good" instead of "well"
3. stupid little girls in the movie theatres who talk through the whole damn thing
And this will get me some flack, but my biggest pet peeve of the moment is all the people who saw the RENT movie and think that they now "get" the show. If one more person tells me how much they like "that 525,600 minutes song," I'm going to scream!
people who regard clocks and schedules as "suggestions" as opposed to being on time drive me NUTS. It's bad enough in the social world, like when someone is going to pick you up at 6 and they get there at 6:30 or 7 but it makes me even crazier at work. If we have to be there at 8:15, we should be there at 8:15! It's a job! It's a rule! Not a suggestion!
Sorry, stepping off soap box now. :)
1. People who don't seem to know when it is time to bathe.
2. People with baby strollers who think they have the right of way, SIMPLY BECAUSE they have produced spawn.
3. Smokers (sorry, reformed smoker here, and I really can't stand the smell.......but if I meet any of you who smoke, I won't be a jerk).
4. Rabid Wicked fans.....KIDS, there ARE other musicals, you know!
5. Poor Spelling, and people who do not know the difference between affect and effect, good and well, and they're and their.
6. Parisians
My biggest peeve is when a gentleman brings me a gift and I know it did not cost him more than $1,000.00. Anything less than that does not say I am special.
Eadie, you're such a prize, I'm sure you get it every time.
I've got some weird ones...
1. Carpet. I hate the sound, the feeling...maybe it's from too many rug burns as a child, but my house will have all wooden or tile floors.
2. When the people in a movie or book have names that all begin with the same letter. Like, everyone's name beginning with C. It drives me nuts...where's the variety, people?
Also, people with horrible B.O., crappy drivers, people who think that because they like Wicked they are musical theatre freaks, etc.
When people have round sholders because they're to lazy to sit up straight.

thats normal....and human..atleast you know its wrong....
This isn't so much a peeve of mine, but I noticed lately that all plurals are being made with an apostrophe s instead of just an s. "How many play's have you seen?" People-just add an s. "plays". Thanks!

Jane- yes! Misused apostrophes are my #1 peeve. Especially when they are on professional signage, i.e., "CD's 2 for $20". But even worse than people misusing apostrophes to pluralize a word are people adding apostrophes to words simply because they end in the letter 's'! In a business email someone wrote that "the customer like's the new campaign." Aaargh!
