The reason is that it's an odd name, and chances are I would blow all anonymity I may still have here, as most people only know one person with my name. I think a lot of posters here are hesitant to reveal their names, right?

It's because this is basically a theater board and lots of NY people here go to the theatre. Since I work in one and know lots of people in the business, I'm trying to remain "in the closet" as long as possible.

nah, jane, it at the time i was working on broadway shows and it was worrisome to me that someone might take out anger at me on someone with whom i worked. fortunately, nothing like that happened, so i didn't have to kill anyone and managed to avoid prison...for the moment.

I was just thinking about it, and I've worked in several theatres over several years-I guess I just don't want everyone who I ever worked with or met to know what I'm saying about everything.
