*feels love* Hi kids :) I'm alright...it's been a busy couple months, and I've sorely neglected my BWW duties. Feel free to flog me mercilessly.
Addy, we must must must champagne soon!

Cookie, I love that song. Diana Krall does the best version!

We've been having intermittent rain today, and the most beautiful rainbow just appeared.
This makes me VERY happy

Speakin' of K's pum'kin bread... (in the words of Mr. Johnny Mercer):
I ain’t gonna give nobody none of my jellyroll!
Wouldn’t give you a piece a pie to save your soul!
My cherry pie is fine,
My layer cake divine,
But I’m tellin’ you twice
You can’t get a slice...
Unless you’re extra special nice!
My jellyroll is sweet--
It sure is hard to beat!
I know you want it,
But you can’t have it!
Whoa, Miss Nelly,
I NEED my jellyroll!

Dgrant,
It is still poring here and thundering. My neighbors dogs were freaked all night. It kept me up.. but I was more concerned for them.

Great song, PalJoey!
DG, that sounds so pretty.
Dame, I had so much fun last night! The performances were amazing and I had too many cocktails at the after-party. Loved it.

It was an amazing night!
As much as I adore Joe's Pub, and the intimate setting, they need to find a bigger venue. They could easily sell out an entire theatre!

Peel me a grape, crush me some ice
Skin me a peach, save the fuzz for my pillow
Talk to me nice, talk to me nice
You've got to wine and dine me
Don't try to fool me bejewel me
Either amuse me or lose me
I'm getting hungry, peel me a grape
Pop me a cork, french me a fry
Crack me a nut, bring a bowl full of bon-bons
Chill me some wine, keep standing by
Just entertain me, champagne me
Show me you love me, kid glove me
Best way to cheer me, cashmere me
I'm getting hungry, peel me grape
Here's how to be an agreeable chap
Love me and leave me in luxury's lap
Hop when I holler, skip when I snap
When I say, "do it," jump to it
Send out for scotch, call me a cab
Cut me a rose, make my tea with the petals
Just hang around, pick up the tab
Never out think me, just mink me
Polar bear rug me, don't bug me
New Thunderbird me, you heard me
I'm getting hungry, peel me a grape

I like that Joe's Pub is small. I meant that given the popularity of the event they could easily sell out a larger space.
And, DG, you're right. They would increase their donation total, as well. Although a larger venue might involve higher costs.

I believe the expression used in the gossip columns for what Addy was doing at the after party with David Burnham is ... CANOODLING.
As in:
Was that NYADGAL seen canoodling with hunkaliscious Piazza understudy DAVID BURNHAM? Wagging tongues say that he invited her backstage--and that she offered to show him, um, some photos of her recent trip to Italy. Maybe Mr. Burnham will be feeling a little of that light in the piazza soon...
