I don't hate either, but neither deserves their level of success and stardom. I guess I would say I don't see what the tweens do in them.

I think I dislike the JoBros more, because of the rabid devotion of girls who think they're 'hot.' With Hannah Montana, it's just about how girls want to BE her. The whole crazed fangirl mentality is just disturbing. Four of my friends went on a road trip to see the JoBros in Hershey Park, and proceeded to join huge mobs that stalked them around the park and onto all the rides. It struck me as a little bit psychotic. Having lived through two Jonas Brothers themed sleepovers in the past month, I'm starting to hate them a lot more than I thought I would.

Can I answer as a father of teen girls, Miley (sp) writes nice songs that have some melody. I can tolerate her songs. JB just sucks, my daughter loves Nick, if he showed up at my house, I would give him vocal lessons.

Know what you mean killertofu- star is a big stretch. To me, the wide appeal is because there is no range in their songs. They are easy to "sing" along with. You don't have to stretch your voice so all the little girls think they are just as good because they can "sing" their "songs". It's just a matter of time before the JB bring in their little brother to the group. These kinds of acts don't really last all that long though. Just look at Back Street Boys and N Sync. The Reality Shows love to book them!

I can't say I hate either, but each have their annoying points, although with the Jonases, it's mostly due to the fangirls.

I took my daughter to one of the MSG shows last month and actually kinda enjoyed. The one negative though, was Nick...his vocals live were very very weak and often overwhelmed by the band. He also milked his moment in the spotlight (his "A Little Bit Longer" song about his diabetes) a little bit longer than necessary--enough to make it a little bit off-putting.

I am indifferent towards the Jonas'...although they are snappy dressers.

My only real complaint with Miley/Hannah is the braces. She's a role model for girls, she's pretty, let her wear braces on the front of her teeth and not on the back. Not only must it be 1000x more painful, it's tough to work on (or so I am told by my dentist).

I like Miley - she's spunky and has more personality than the rest of her Disney cohorts combined - but just can't see the appeal of the Jonas Brothers. I don't hate them, since I've never really paid attention to them, but their music isn't particularly interesting, and the middle one looks like a werewolf.

I don't hate either. I dislike people who don't recognize the place and purpose of teen idols, and pick on innocuous, but easy targets.
