Does that make Bobcat Goldthwait the Orson Welles of our time?
I can't wait to see his wine commercials!

I have a friend who has a SERIOUS clown-phobia--he actually starts shaking when he sees them. And another friend who has the same reaction to midgets--when he sees "The Wizard of Oz", he says things like, "I wish that house would bounce a few times and take out all those damn Munchkins!"
Now clowns have made a choice, but midgets? That's just cruel.

Bobcat is just as dead as Orson. You'll have quite a wait.

I used to have a clown fetish...until I ran into Shivers the Clown!
And why do they always add "the Clown" to the end of their names? As if it wasn't obvious. Even over the phone you know it's not Bozo the Dry Cleaner.

Why should we hate clowns? Did Jason run over one?

Who hates them? Is there anyone who really LIKES them?
I was in a bridal party with Koko the Killer Clown (from the Coney Island sideshow)
when I was a child. He was also a dwarf. His name was Tony and he was a nasty little jerk. He kicked me in the shins and bit me when we were forced to dance. He wound up killing a man years later.

#41re: Who else hates clowns?
Posted: 1/16/08 at 2:46pmThey're terrifying freaks. I don't know who came up with the twisted idea of inviting them to children's birthday parties. No wonder so many kids are messed up.
A click for life.

#43re: Who else hates clowns?
Posted: 1/16/08 at 3:12pmIt wouldn't surprise me if the clowns staged a press conference to negate this story. I could see them with some kids in the background as set pieces (just like the politicians have their throngs of supporters in the background as they speak).

Posted: 1/16/08 at 3:12pmI had a friend growing up whose heavily medicated, mentally-unbalanced mother was a professional clown. After that, I pretty much lost all faith in clowns. IT put me over the edge into downright fear. I absolutely hate clowns.

I blame my cousin's KISS poster for my initial fear of people in white makeup which was later compounded by IT. HATE clowns and anyone in full white face makeup (mimes, etc.)
There is a woman who has an obvious mental illness who lives in the area where I work. She walks around with heavy, white pancake makeup on her face all the time. It makes me uncomfortable and unnerved to see her walking around. I turned a corner in a local store one day and almost walked into her. I swear, I almost screamed out loud from the shock of her catching me by surprised. She did not seem to notice my reaction. I would assume that she probably gets that a lot.
