Surely we can support any poster who embraces the theater with passion, commitment, a sense of personal investment. If we don't show up here for that, then what the hell are we doing here?

No Margo, Jon doesnt appreciate someone that AT LEAST has some interesting topics to bring to the boards. Some people should really put their money with their mouth is instead of clogging this board up with bullsh!t.

I have to say this makes me a little sad. I had pretty much had enough of the direction the off-topic board has taken, and was thrilled and delighted to see some discussions being started on the main board that were actually worth participating in. And as KMC pointed out (I had even PMed Mary_Ethel to thank him for this) there were actually responses given to the replies made to his posts. There was actual dialogue taking place - that wasn't accusatory, banal, rude, offensive - or any of the other things that seem to have become status quo around here for many people.
Obviously, the board will go in the direction that it is led. Apparently, simply having intelligent, engaged and respectfully thoughtful dialogue is worth the contempt of some - thankfully, not all. So, at the very least, I would like to offer to Mary_Ethel to PM me with any more of your thought-provoking questions - and that way we won't 'clog up' the board with our discussions.
