Yes, I had a group of 45 with me tonight.
And I have seen the show, um, a few times.
What did they use to finally get your Dad off the stage?
The usual word they use, my dad was mad that I wouldn't tell him out to spell anything before he went up there.
The one the old sailor's use?
No, the one that is the abnormal redness of the eye due to a deficiency in vitamin A.
So who was this group of 45?
This was my parents, our confirmation class from our temple in CA, my dad's old boss and his confirmation class from CO (dad and boss are both rabbis), and a couple other chaperones. So about 38 10th graders and their chaperones.
Hi, RC! Home yet?
Liotte, if you cannot be honest with your big sister, who ya gonna call???? So tonight makes number ________ ?
That's a great show for kid's that age. I'm glad they had fun.
Hi MP! I'm still in AZ, flying home tomorrow. I just wish this ringing in my ear would stop.
Yes, liotte, do tell!
Miss P, I can be honest with the number, but in case my parents happen upon BWW and read this thread, I'd rather not post it. Plus DAME will start yelling at me again.
Take the number of times you have seen Wicked, switch your numbers around, add one.

Now, that is what I call a group!
Have you made arrangements to see Wicked in Philly yet? (Of course I remember the number, silly! What do you think? People with deformed thumbs can't retain information or something?)
LOL, I am very good at retaining information!
I have not made arrangements yet, is it there now? I will be in Philly on Sunday, can I see it Sunday night?
YWIW, talk about a group- last spring I brought 45 5th and 6th graders to All Shook Up- and brought them to the stagedoor afterwards too!
No wonder you are so good at what you do!
I bet the kids loved it, as did the cast.
Liotte, you really are quite the pied piper. It's a good thing for the world you haven't gone to the dark side
The kids definitely loved ASU, and the cast, who knew me by that point, enjoyed signing autographs and chatting with the kids.
RC, the biggest trip I did, not counting a cross country teen travel program a few years ago with 160 high schoolers that was for 5 weeks, was taking 90 5th-7th graders to Six Flags last May. Now THAT was fun.
Funny, I just drove by ASU.... oh wait, you mean the show!
Yes the show! But if you go by the school again, pick me up a sweatshirt that says ASU!
Wicked starts in Philly on March 22. Awwww.
liotte - this might amuse you.
I was actually assistant director for a jewish summer day camp for a couple of years, and in charge of the 4-6 grade kids.
I also was the bus driver - driving a 66 passenger bus hung over, not an ideal thing, but that is for another thread.
Anyway, if we ended an outing early, and needed to add a little time on the end of the day before we returned to Temple, and the bus was not full, some of of the kids would try and crowd the back end of the bus, and we would look for bumps.
Watching those kids fly in the air (or more specifically their hair) was one of the funniest things I ever saw.
I was always careful, but looking for bumps was one of their favorite things to do!

Oh man, I'll just miss it!
Maybe sometime in April then...
Quick, someone get this woman a passionfruit caipirinha!
That'll have to wait for another trip (but it's not like I never get out here)
YWIW, that is HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!
A Kir Royale, you, you RI-Thigh, you!
