Roxy;
You will get more than one mojito. However.. I am not responsible for your behavior.
I am a sham Irishman
2 drinks & I fall asleep. No make that 3. Old age has apparently brought my toleration of liquor up a tad but that is all it has done for me.
When you are with me I will keep you so entertained you will be danicng on the bar counter.
I ecpect a rsponse from some of you on my "Stupid Questions" thread.
I'm at the end of my rope.
Yeah we definitely need some mojitos over there!
A few mojitos and all should be good with the world.
Don't let it get to you, dears. Not worth the aggravation.
That's why I'm cleaning my apt. between posting here...
I think it's time to get out of the house and walk away from this board for a while.
woo-hoo! Getting out of the house is a good thing... I'll follow your example... as soon as I'm done cleaning.
DON'T LEAVE ME DIVA!!!
Listening to Nancy LaMott also helps ease the tension...
I think we are going to go to beer bust at the Rawhide. If it is nasty we will stay.. and if it is not.. we will be right back.
Rawhide must've been quite nasty then...
Lovely day out. Took Walter swimming at the dog park. Way fun... enjoying the sun, the water, the people.
Now must nap before this evening's plans.
Hope you all had a wonderful day.
Hi all,
Wow, lots to tell today. Saw Altar Boyz this afternoon, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would (as I am not a boy band type). Ran into Greg Jbara, and the person who took the pic of me (that I just put in my fan photos) was the one who I saw the show with, so she gave me the pic today, which I promptly gave to him. He was very cool, talked on the street for a couple minutes. My friend also gave me, um, a couple of shows to watch on dvd, and it's very funny to see Footloose from years ago with people like JLT and Jenn Gambatese, who I now know much better (in real life, not just their performances). And I am doing laundry, such a productive day!!!
I guess everyone is out tonight, and this thread fell to the 2nd page.
Just wanted to bump it back up.
Bumping is good.
Yeah the mojito thread sometimes fades to the second page on weekends.
Evening all and Happy Fourth! Can't believe I had to go through five pages to catch up! Sounds like everyone is having a fantastic weekend... we're doing all sorts of small-town Americana things this weekend - town picnics, barbecues, fireworks, parade, etc. etc. (oh, and I saw War of the Worlds yesercay too)- hung by the pool with the kids (mine and my neices and nephew) today - ate way too much food and alternated coke zero's with raspberry martinis - yum!
Dame - would you be so kind as to PM me a mojito recipe - I'm not too thrilled with the ones I've been making!
DD - just turned on TCM and Ray Bolger is in the midst of stuffing straw back into his shirt - great way to end the day!!!!
Bacardi Mojito (say 'mohito,' and enjoy!)
An easy mojito recipe to liven up your evening:
1.5 oz BACARDI Rum
12 fresh spearmint leaves
1/2 lime
7 oz club soda
2 tbsp. simple syrup
(or 4 tsp. sugar)
For the smoothest summer cocktails, gently crush mint leaves and lightly squeeze lime in a cool tall glass. Pour sweet syrup to cover and fill glass with ice. Add Bacardi Rum, club soda, and stir your emerging mojito well. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few sprigs of mint.
Wow, that sounds good. I need to start drinking again soon, it's been way too long (like last summer) since I had more than a sip of alcohol.
Thats not a bad thing Liotte.
Well, it's only a bad thing because I haven't had a social life since last summer, as I had to work 7 days a week and if I managed to get home before 10pm, I was too tired to go out. I feel like I have no friends left in the city, I haven't seen anyone in such a long time!
You need to take care of your personal life and make a effort. It is unhealthy not to.
I know, hence why I am looking for a new job :)
I'll start going out again soon!
Wishing all my friends in the States a happy 4th of July.
In the meantime we can all just drool over your Cheyene Jackson pics.
