I thought this would be an interesting thread. This is just a thread to say what Batman villians are your favorites, you don't have to explain why, but you can.
Mine are
The Joker
The Scarecrow
Two-Face
Ra's Al Ghul
Harley Quinn
Poison Ivy
Black Mask
Bane
Mr. Freeze
The Riddler
So, who are your favorite Batman villians?
Catwoman--any version....except La Halle.
Marsha, Queen of Diamonds (gotta love Carolyn Jones!)
and Egghead.
The worst? Whoever it was that Liberace played.

And the one Tallulah played--forgot about her...or Victor Buono as King Tut.
Or the Clock King. And the Riddler when he was played by John Astin.

I'm not QUITE as gay as PalJ, so I had to look up Merman's stint - her episode was called "The Wail of the Siren"
Did that feature the villainess Siren, played by none other than Joan Collins?
Gay checkmate.

I'm learning so much!
Merman was on TWO episodes. A credited stint as Lola in "The Sport of Penguins," and an uncredited one in "The Wail of the Siren." And yes, Ms. Collins was The Siren - guess she wouldn't tolerate any other credited guest stars!
And Calvin, you ALWAYS win that game

^ Agreed.
Nothing beats a sociopath.
Double post!

I think I lose a few points, however, because I knew Victor Buono as King Tut long before I knew him from "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte." Then again, I was a 10-year-old who knew who Victor Buono was...
Gayer than laughter, am Calvin, and younger than springtime.
Cal! Victor was in JANE before CHARLOTTE!
Too many to try & pick
My answer is, therefore, all of them are my favorites
Oh, Lord...yes, he was. C Minus for me!
eta: But it is funny how many of the villains were either gay (Buono, Cesar Romero, Liberace, Roddy McDowall) or gay icons (Merman, Jones, Collins, Eartha Kitt, etc.).
edited again to add: Or Leslie Gore, who could go in either category, I guess.

Please, Calvin - the only reason I watched as a boy was to satisfy my Daddy fantasy (he's my ward, indeed!)
And then years later, Chris Seiber and his partner did that Batman/Robin thing at Broadway Bares and it ALL came flooding back

Yes, PalJ - and I even have a recording of it
Love Catwoman. She's been played by some fabulous women, shacked up with Bruce Wayne and has fickle loyalties and such. She's fabulous and gorgeous and she knows it.
The Scarecrow gave me such nightmares when I was a kid (and this is from the cartoon) he's completely insane and malicious.
Definitely Catwoman - Julie Newmar was one of my first crushes (and yes, Batman was before my time, but I used to watch the reruns every day).
For actual villainy - the Riddler was always my favorite.
If we're going by the movies, though, no one touches Nicholson as the Joker.
Holy Crap Batman
I cannot choose
Still the best.
don't forget:
The Bookworm - Roddy McDowall
The Black Widow - Tallulah Bankhead
Dr. Cassandra Spellcraft - Ida Lupino
Harry & Chandell - Liberace (dual-role)
Lady Penelope Peasoup - Glynis Johns
Lord Ffogg of Ffogshire - Rudy Vallee
Minerva - Zsa Zsa Gabor
Olga, Queen of Bessarovian cossacks - Anne Baxter
Zelda the Great - Anne Baxter
and though not technically villains, but sidekicks i liked the over the top Sugar and Spice (Two-Face's girls) in "Batman Forever" played by Drew Barrymore and Debi Mazar
