What's up with the kissiness in gay culture?
Why do some gay men seem to invest a lot of interest and take a lot of pleasure in kissing other gay men who either don't want to make out or have reasons why they do not make out?
You would think there would be compassion and a desire to protect another gay man's decision not to kiss, but that isn't always so.
What causes that behavior?

Funny that you mentioned this-- as I've been meaning to start a thread about it....
Go on You Tube. Search for "Str8 Guys making out." There must be a hundred videos of "Straight" boys making out. There are even subsets of "Emo Boys making out." Guys are supposedly doing this for fun, or to impress girls, or even to be 'gross.' In any case, it baffled me, it amazed me and it made me feel really really old. Can anyone explain it to me?

i kiss most of my gay friends. i kiss most the straight women and lesbians i know. the only people i don't kiss are my straight male friends. and that's only because they would freak if i did. isn't american culture one of the few where men don't kiss as a greeting?
