Why is your BWW name your BWW name?

just curious.

if it is something self explanatory like wickedfan 1-785, we get it.
but why did you choose your name?

mine is becuase I did the show and played Pippin in high school. It was a wonderful experience for me, and solidified my passion for acting and the career path I chose. I love the dark undertones of the show, the symbolism, and the different levels that it can be viewed on. I feel that I can deeply connect to Pipping, a character just trying to find some meaning in this world for himself. It is also a shout out to Fosse, one of the true geniuses of not just the musical theatre world, but also of the film and entertainment world.

I get blank stares almost every time I try to explain it.

It's an obscure reference to the first role I ever played in a musical. It really IS a character in Guys and Dolls. Really. No, it's in the script. No, he doesn't have any lines, but... No, the name DOES appear in the script...

I am lazy and uncreative, at least I was the day that I joined BWW. My BWW name is just the shortened version of my real name.

Mine is long, convuluted, and a little dull. But since you asked...

One of my really good friends in high school used to call me Kit. So when it came time to pick a new AIM handle, I went with Kitrina to add some pizzaz. Later on, an online friend took that and twisted it around into Kitzarina or Kitzi for short. I liked it so much that Kitzarina has now become my name on most websites.

And that is the story. Told you it was dull.

well my first name is Caitie, the first 3 letters of my last is sus and I IMed 4 random friends and asked for a number and I got 1, 5 2, 2

I have been bunnywings for a long time. I have two reasons why I am, who I am. But I will only explain my secondary reason, as it's easier to explain. The first reason gets into... um, yeah. So, here's the second reason:

I loved bunnies and the Detroit Red Wings.

I'm an avid follower of the music charts and buy Billboard magazine every week. Around the time I joined BWW, I had gone to my neighborhood Tower Records to buy a few CDs and the cashier recognized me as "that Billboard girl, the one who buys those magazines every week."

Mine came from the title of a Chris Isaak song "Except the New Girl". The x's were added because "newgirl" was taken (on Yahoo!, where this name originated). I'm so innocent, though, because I didn't realize the x's would garner me many perverted comments.

My name's been Mamie for about 30 years now. When my sister's baby was just learning to talk, she called me Mamie because she couldn't pronounce 'Mary'. My mom happened to be passing by when the baby did this for the first time and mom totally freaked. She's from Ireland and she had great aunts and great great aunts who's given names were 'Mamie'. So - nobody's called me 'Mary' since then.

I came up with mine when I was 14 and really into singing and I liked the mythology reference, and it's the only online name that I've ever felt comfortable using that isn't some variation of my real name (which is painfully boring). It's not so relevant anymore, and I kind of wish that it lent itself more easily to a nickname.

I guess I didn't want to associate myself with a specific show, and I like hearts. I honestly didn't think about it very much because I joined on a whim. Now I kind of hate it, but it would be too much effort to change.

Because I think I created this name three weeks before I moved here. My best friend had just sent me a shirt from Jay & Silent Bob' Secret Stash that just said, "Jersey Girl" on it as a joke when I took the job. Alas, apparently there is already a JerseyGirl on BWW so I ended up with a loverly 2 smacked on it.
