I hate to make this post, but recently I have been very annoyed.
It seems that many people are posting things to belittle Wicked, knowing that the majority of the posters will back them.
I am not saying it is a perfect show - far from it. I am not saying to leave it alone like the normal "OMG I LUV WICKED" fans. I am saying this from the point that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I think we get the idea that most people, here, don't care for Wicked.
It is just plain annoying to see all these posts that rip apart the dumbest things of a show. For example, the rhyming thread. There's no reason why "bad rhyming" has to be related to Wicked. No one seems to make a strecth and find other shows with A LOT WORSE rhymes than "few at ease" and "ambiguities."
Now, I have not seen Brooklyn (I am interested in seeing it because it is a Broadway show and would like to form my own opinion on it - if you know what shows I do and don't like you would know I don't care what other people think).
Anyway, I think it is enough with the belittling of Brooklyn. We get it - no one likes it but a small few. On the other hand, making thousands of posts just to argue that a show is good - NOT helping.
Normally I wouldn't care if someone wants to say a show "sucks" or is "terrible." Lately, it has been getting way out of hand - to the point where arguements are no longer good natured.
Two more things, I am not saying anything because someone personally attacked me (frankly, I wouldn't care). I am speaking soley in generalities.
Second, and lastely, if you want to call me a hypocrite for starting this thread - go ahead, it means you didn't fully understand this post. This post is to say that the so-called "dissing" of shows and posters has spirled out of control to the point where nothing of value is discussed.
Well, I thought I would just add that in - food for thought next time you want to post.
