Would friends and family from your non-BWW life be surprised to meet your BWW persona?

I'd go so far as to say most of them could pick out my BWW persona.

My mom might be, but my friends and siblings certainly wouldn't be.

Nah.. I don't really have an "online persona". Who I am in the online world is the same as who I am in real life. I don't think I'd know HOW to be anyone but myself, even online :)
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Mmm, I find that in real life, I'm a lot more polite around adults than I am around people my age. Online, I try to be fairly civil, but I certainly wouldn't say some of the things I do to adults in real life.

This reminds me of one of my favorite deleted threads, called "Who You Are on BroadwayWorld Is Who You Are in Real Life," which posited that if you are a raging bitch on BWW, you probably are a raging bitch in many parts of your real life or you wouldn't think to act that way here. Conversely if you are everybody's buddy on BWW, you probably try to make people like you a lot in real life too.
I thought it was a fairly self-evident statement, but it seemed to offend and outrage people, especially those who are actively unpleasant here on BWW and think they are not so in their "real" lives.
Ironically (or not), I often find myself doing things I think are perfectly innocent, only to find that they end up offending or outraging people. Which only proved the point to me.
I forget why the thread was deleted. (Which proves the point yet again.)

^I COMPLETELY agree with that!
The thing is, the internet allows people to take their personalities to the extreme. In other words, if you're rude and snarky in person, you might be even more noticeably so online, because of the anonymity the internet provides. But if you're not rude/snarky in person, why would you think to be online? A person who cares a lot about pleasing everyone in person is still going to care about it online, even WITH the anonymity. It's still just a part of their nature.

I'm a little less cocky in real life, but not by much.
I am considered quiet in classes such as English, Health, ect. except for when I'm sticking up for myself. But would I tell a school friend about BWW, yes.
All in all, I am mostly the same person around friends and family.

No. Actually I am not as sharp tongued here as I am with friends and family. We all have a twisted sense of humor. My friends are very witty and can be quite sarcastic (In a fun way). So if they met my BWW persona, they would probably ask me if I was not feeling well!! But you actually do get a lot of the real me on here.

I doubt it. Although, I just don't think many people know what to think of me because I'm usually so quiet, but then there are times where I'm not. And yes, I am just a very random person.
