Hmmm, I think I missed the verbal mention, too. Of course, I saw the two actors and the child character. Someone PM me. lol

The verbal mention is nothing spoilery.

When Charles is giving his report to the CIA Agents one of the agents, Agent STRYKER, asks Charles if he wants him to think of a number.

Charles mentions that it was lovely that he was thinking about his son, WILLIAM.

Maybe there were people who haven't seen the film yet and wanted to be surprised

Is mentioning a name really a surprise?

There are two big/cool/fun cameos in the film that shouldn't be spoiled... mentioning someones name is just not the same.

well, i was a bit surprised that vaughn didn't go for morrison's version of frost, especially as he's a native brit. part of the problem was having emma play second fiddle to shaw. the current white queen would have told shaw where to put that glass had he commanded her to get some ice, more power than her or not. and it's all the more effective with a posh english accent.

I believe Rosamund Pike was Vaughn's first choice for Frost so maybe he did have that in mind. Still, I never personally thought Emma Frost was this incredible character beyond her assets.

Well, Emma isn't British. Though there have been a few comics where other characters have mentioned her "fake British accent".

I just don't understand how that woman keeps getting work. I really loved this movie but watching her on screen is cringeworthy. It's like she hired a group of 4th graders to give her acting lessons.

I think she is overly-associated with a role that is very well-written and complex but some people confuse her cold and detached tone to the character as great acting. Betty's a polarizing character and is often pretty frustrating. Will she ever grow during the 60s or is the fact that January Jones has arguably made Betty look worse over time made her a lost cause on the show (Christina Hendricks confirmed three characters have already been written out and I wonder if Betty is one of them)?

That said, I personally did not think JJ was that bad. Not memorable in a good sense, but not memorable in a bad sense either. Then again, I had no expectations for Emma Frost.

I finally saw this last night and thought it was great. I'm actually going back to see it later this week because I forgot my glasses at work and I'm pretty sure it would have been an even better movie had the screen not been somewhat blurry. Add me to those who did not like JJ's portrayal of Emma. I was so looking forward to having Emma in the movie since she's one of my favorite characters but she was as exciting as wall paper.
