XL - How strict are they on IDing?

Hi, there's an event at XL this month and it's 21+ and my friend doesn't have an ID. How strict are they on IDing and how closely do they check the IDs? Thanks!

Yeah, I get carded every time I go. And I have one of the new New Jersey licenses, which they're not used to seeing yet, so they always give it a double take. So, if he's gonna use a fake, it had better be a good one.

I got in without an ID once. Because I was on a guest list. But that's it. Gay bars get raided all the time (thank you, Bloomberg) or harrassed over the underage culture in there so they're generally hitlerific about checking your id. And your ego.

I get carded everytime i'm there, which isn't often, but there you are.

Jimmcf, go to Posh on Friday or Saturday night and you will be carded for sure. They do not play. Once I was there and there was this man sitting on the porch was clearly well past 45 but he couldn't go inside or order a drink because he had no ID.

Actually, I was thinking of going to Posh tonight...have been there before, and never carded...but then again, I tend to stay home on weekends...

ahh, that sucks. another question, does the bouncer checking IDs have a flashlight? (random but i have my reasons!)
