I'm a diehard Red Sox fan, and I'll be the first to admit that this ALCS has been a joke! My boys folded like a cheap deck of cards! They looked pathetic out there. You know, I (in my heart of hearts) never fully expected them to charge on through and make it to the World Series, though it sure as hell would have been nice for them to at least put up a fight! I mean, this has got to be at the bottom of the barrel as far as the rivalry goes. I would have loved for it to go to game 7, in extra innings, like last year. That was a hell of a series, no matter how you slice it! Even though it's gotta be sweet for Yankees fans to revel in the impending sweep (come on, I'm a huge Sox fan, but who are we kidding? I predict a meltdown of epic preportions on the part of Lowe tomorrow! They guy's got problems!) Anyway, I can't believe you Yankees fans wouldn't have hoped for a more interesting, nail biting, thrilling series. I hope this walk in the park comes back to bite you in the World Series...I can hope for something, can't I?!?!?
So yeah, it was pretty embarassing, but I'll still proudly sport my Sox hat (though I think I'll give it a bit before I venture back out in the City w/ it!) But I'm sure as hell not going to jump on the Yankees bandwagon. It's too frickin easy to be a Yankees fan. I'll wait my boys out. They'll be back again. Maybe not next year, but I'll still be cheering them on (and bitching at them when the screw up

come the spring. (And, I'm willing to bet Pedro will be signing his soul over to his daddy in the off season. Too bad they'll make him cut his jherri curl and won't embrace his goofy bouncing around in the dugout!)...sigh...What can you do?
Anyway, enough of my mindless rambling, which I'm sure is pretty nonsensical (it being 2:30 and all!) Thanks for the fun season boys (all except this last week...that pretty much sucked!)
P.S. Yeah, the T sucks...ROYALLY!
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)
