We generally start with a bottle for each - so one each for you and CBC should suffice

We're in the process of planning a month in Europe next summer - Venice (for either the Strauss or Mozart festival,) Prague, Berlin - and a cruise on a converted barge down the Danube (where I HEAR they have enough stock to see us through!)

And I MUST also thank everyone involved for the lovely soiree - divine, as they say.

Champagne is NOT "pretentious"! It's "practical." You need no special equipment to open it the way you do for wine and beer. That's why I take it to picnics!
