I try to liven things up but there's always somebody to be offended. Why, even "Farewell David Letterman" caused one distressed person great consternation.
But, at the risk of going out on a limb and saying I like something, I like this thread being bumped because it celebrated the arrival of a good egg. That used to happen here!

Liza doesn't always get Sondheim songs just right--her "Some People," for instance, is usually too frenetic to be coherent--but for some reason she nails "Old Friends" perfectly, no matter what shape her voice is in.

What a fun thread to bring back!
It makes me teary for the old days of bww!
It seems this has turned into a picnic, since a big old ant just crawled in.

I mean, it's practically Friday . . .
(Totally agree about Liza and "Old Friends," btw.)

I will gladly and graciously accept any party invitations that bring fun and laughter to the OT board.
Everything old is new again. We're bringing the 'old' days back right here and right now!

A little party entertainment
Dorothy Loudon at the 1983 Tony Awards: VODKA!

On my death bed I will be saying that Dorothy Loudon singing "Vodka" at the 1983 Tonys is the funniest performance of anything by anyone at any time anywhere.
Here's another of Reggie's party favorites: Hinge and Bracket doing "Three Little Maids From School," arranged, as they say, for two voices.
It starts at 0:0:41

I hesitate to say it, since people here already think I walk around in a top hat, but God, I love them!

No--she's too good for the room and the song, but not the dress!
