Has to be a tie between Six Feet Under and Angels in America for me.

Well, I was going to say Curb Your Enthusism, hands down, but since you mentioned Angels in America, I'd have to say that, too. Thanks for reminding me.
Angels in America. It's one of my favorite things to come out of TV at all.
Sex and the City
Rome
The show I long for is Avenue Kate. 11 PM. HBO.
Stephanie deserves it.

I'm getting really hooked on Rome right now, so that's going to be my answer.
ROME.
But I do love Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Angels in America, The Laramie Project and Tracey Takes On!
Six Feet Under and Sex in the City.

The shot of Chris Meloni pissing in a bucket in OZ.
Sex and the City, and for a while Carnivale. I haven't seen anything the last few seasons since I have basic cable.
Curb Your Enthusiasm, no contest.

OZ -- I was SO addicted to that show.
The Sopranos, greatest show ever! (If there wasn't so much time between seasons, I'd be even happier!)
Real Sex, baby.

ALL shots of Meloni, pissing or not. I've seen more of that man's body than I've seen of my own.
OZ I was totally addicted.
I thoroughly enjoyed...TaxiCab Confessions. That was HBO, right? The stories and situations on that series was great entertainment.

I loved Band of Brothers (and I guess I’m in the minority on this thread, but I was very disappointed in Angels in America).
Angels in America
The Sopranos
Sex and the City
Six Feet Under
I couldn't get into Oz (expect for the Meloni nudity of which my favorite was the asscheek spread against the glass), Carnivale or Rome. Rome actually put me to sleep. I was so excited about the series, but alas, found it tedious.

NCGuy,
I also had many issues with the ANGELS film. While I'm glad a masterpiece was preserved, it lacks the wit, passion and urgency of the Broadway version. Not to mention it seemed drained of its gay sensibility (Kushner has talked about the importance of camp in the play -- it wasn't in the film). The whole enterprise seemed overly serious and ponderous and lugubrious. There was no spark to it. Part of it was Mike Nichols' direction (he seemed intimidated by the material as if he had to stamp every frame with the label "IMPORTANT" on it -- he managed to wring much of the humanity and spontaneity out of the play which was there in abundance in the stage version). Also part of the problem was the woeful miscasting of Justin Kirk as Prior (he was totally clueless as to how to play that part).
But, anyway, no need to rehash all that now .....
Amen, girl! I didn't want to start in on AIA either, but thanks--I don't know if it was Nichols or what, but you are spot-on with Kirk and Shenkman wasn't much better. I saw a PBS "making of" special called "Waiting in the Wings" that was more exciting than the mini-series, though I thought Pacino was better than he'd been in years.
Sex and the City for sure
Angels in America
Sex and the City
and...THE COMEBACK
Call me crazy, but I loved it. And, I think it should've been given more time to get an audience. I think it was one of the best new shows.
